Lighthouse of Waconia

I have collaborated with many families to move them in to The Lighthouse of Waconia. The staff has always been very helpful and welcoming to my own staff and the new resident and their families.

The public spaces are well planned and designed. The residents homes are always clean with everything in working order from the first day the resident moves in. From the parking lot, to the gardens, to the garage spaces, to craft rooms, dining rooms, pool therapy, cafe, game rooms and corridors - all spaces have consistently been immaculate, well lit, safe and welcoming. Finding my way through the community has been logical and easy - another indication of the well thought out design.

I am in the Senior Service business so touring these types of places can become mundane. I was shocked at how much i caught myself enjoying the tour and learning about their 4 pillars of living life on purpose and the activities they had seemed more relevant and enjoyable than other facilities I have toured. Is it weird to want to move into a place like this at the age of 39?

This place smells wonderful and the residents are active and engaged. The team members truly seem to care about the residents. It's a beautiful building--but more importantly, you can feel the LOVE here. It offers a great mix of remaining independent, but getting the help you need, when you need it. It's a great place to work, visit and live!!

After my parents toured this assisted living, their first question was, "When can we move in?" Neither one of them requires any memory care at this time, but we were so impressed with the level of care and their focus on keeping my parents among the land of the "living." They have been at Lighthouse of Waconia for a little over 6 mos. now, and we couldn't be happier with the activities that are available to them on a daily basis! My mom LOVES the warm water therapy pool!
