Overall

STAY AWAY! The first year I lived here, it was great. Management changed two months ago and so far this is what I've gone through (sorry, I know its lengthy but I promise you need to know this if you are seriously considering this place):

-HQ charged me a late fee for not paying rent on time even though it was their fault my rent wasn't posted to the online payment website until AFTER it was considered late. I tried talking to them (specifically MISTY MAYHEW) but they talked down to me and treated me like a dumb college kid. I've never had a late payment until now even though my balance clearly said $0.00. I was out of town, I couldn't cut my trip short to go give them a check for a balance I didn't have -not that they cared because its "in my contract".

-Corporate never calls back. I've tried reaching out to them about this problem but they ignore my calls. I've probably left over 15 voicemails and have even driven out to their office in Austin to fix this. They will not help you, even just to answer simple questions. You will just be ignored and laughed at.

-HQ didn't apply my electricity usage credit to my bill (like they're supposed to each month) so basically they expected me and each one of my roommates to pay our electricity bills twice. Imagine the profit they are making off us and every other resident they do that to.

-HQ told me it was my job to reach out to the electric company for something that was incorrect on my bill. I pay HQ $510 (rent and all bills with caps) each month to take care of all of that for me. I shouldn't have to mess with each company for every bill.

-I sent in two maintenance requests over a month and a half ago and both requests have gone unanswered. The problems are still here and they don't care to do anything about it or to at least tell me they're working on coming to fix it.

-Rent on a 4bedroom/4bath large apartment went down to $475 (per person) before my new contract started but I'm still stuck paying $510. If rent goes up, everyone's rent increases. If rent goes down, shouldn't everyone's rent go down too? I feel like I'm being punished for having been a loyal resident and renewing my contract.

-The roads are always blocked for events in downtown and very rarely will you get a notice ahead of time. I hope you like being woken up at 7 am on Saturdays by the worst singing voices you have ever heard blaring out of those enormous speakers right outside the building.

-The people above me love to have parties during the weekdays. When I call in for a noise complaint, I never get an answer. I have to leave a voicemail and still, nothing gets resolved.

-Theres always drunk people outside yelling at midnight. NOT A SAFE PLACE TO LIVE.

Please, spare yourself the stress and find somewhere else to live. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. They will not care about you the way they pretend to on the walk through. Not even the community assistants that work and live here like the management. That should tell you something. STAY AWAY.

Overall

Before I begin let me tell you I have never written a review like this before. The only reason I did was because I wished someone forewarned me about this pit. Here is my true experience with living in this apartment complex over the past two years:

Do NOT move here. I could go on for days about what is wrong with this place. The management (including CA's) are rude and never know what they are talking about. The property is a mess. There is pee and poop in the hallways, elevators, and all over the property. There are stains all over all the hallway carpets (except the one they take you down during the tour). The rooms are small and there is NO closet space. Half the time the elevator does not work. When it does (at least in building 3) it starts bouncing up and down and you feel like you should not be in it. If I did not live on the fourth floor I would not go near it. The inspection certificate is currently over two months expired in the actual elevator with a "friendly" note from management that it has been inspected, although I doubt it passed and if it did I would seriously question inspection standards ...

The management is so rude (unless you are signing a lease or paying them money). There are so many problems with the property. Every time you try to mention something not working they blow you off or say they will fix it and nothing EVER gets done about it.

DO NOT run on the treadmills. They completely stop mid-run and you will go flying off. This has happened to me more than one time. Actually every time I have used them to be exact. I have told the management multiple times and they have yet to do anything about it. Paying for all these amenities is pointless because they buy the cheapest things they can and they don't work anyway.

When I moved in my room was disgusting and so were both my roommate's rooms. It was so frustrating to have to clean before trying to move everything in. Management just shrugged it off and told us boys used to live there before us. The carpet was a disaster. There are BLACK and RED stains all over it. The stains came up within the first week of us living there. We showed management and they blew it off saying it wasn't bad enough to be replaced. Then at the end of the year when I was considering singing another lease (only because I was weighing the terrible experience versus having to move all of my stuff for just less than 10 months) they said they would replace it. I moved in again to find that they in fact did NOT replace it. It only took 3 days for it to look worse than before. I told management again and once again they refused to change the carpet.

This place has the most rude, seriously unintelligent, and fake management I have ever dealt with in my entire life. This place is like a glorified college dorm run by RA's (or in this case they call them CA's) that have the matureness of a preteens. They all will tell you something different, will call about random fees and have no idea what they are even talking about, and will all have a different answer to your problem that always seems to be wrong. I've never written a review like this before and trust me I never would, but I wish someone forewarned me and that is why I am writing this.

The ONLY upside to living here is the location and the maintenance staff. They are awesome. Everything else sucks. Save your money and live at one of the other cool places they have downtown or on the other side of 35.

HIS PLACE IS AWFUL! dont be drawn in by the seemingly nice apartments- the granite counters seemed so nice so i signed my lease prompted by the false promises of the leasing staff. the property is incredibly poorly managed and taken care of. The resident are dirty and inconsiderate- the elevator always has urine or vomit in it which the apartment only sometimes cleans up. to be blunt, the staff are idiots. they will never give you a straight answer and any time you want to speak to the manager they will tell you she is out. One of the most annoying things that happens is that they will be in your apartment for random "maintenance" about once every 2 weeks. It is very disruptive and uncomfortable. It is uncomfotable because they employ one of the creepiest maintenance men you will ever meet. They allow him to sit in his truck in the basement garage all day every day smoking and watching girls walking to and form their cars. The fact that he has a master key to all apartments is very concerning. In short this place is over-priced and once you sign the lease you will never get any help or competence from the staff. DO NOT LIVE HERE.
