This place is horrible and i would NOT take my child there! My 4 year old son was enrolled at this so called daycare for a year and a half. In the beginning things were great, the staff was very friendly and they showed that they cared about the well being of your child. They have recently changed all the staff, for a few months there was a different face every few weeks and there is a new director. They do not seem to have the knowledge or patience to teach these children. They get frustrated and just let the children run wild, punish them and put there hands on the children.
I picked my child up one evening and he had been crying for a while before i got there. When we got home he kept telling me the teachers were mean to him. I asked questions and let him tell me how his day was like we normally do. It was pajama time and i saw that my son had a long mark under his arm where someone had grabbed him way to hard along with broken skin. On his other arm there was a scratch where he said the teacher scratched him. I continuously asked him what happened and he said the teacher picked him up and hurt his arm very bad, mind you he is 4.....
The next day i confronted the director Ms. Chay and she had the nerve to try to reverse the roll and pin it on me saying that she didn't see it when we left. I explained to her 1. I DO NOT handle my child in this manner, 2. IF i were to do something like this why would i bring it to her attention, and 3. How would she have seen anything when she doesn't have direct contact with the children through out the whole day. Ms. Chay kept defending her staff instead of the child/children being her main focus. She is very confrontational, a terrible listener and does not have her priorities in the correct place.
This place has no structure and obviously does not value and protect the children that attend this facility...................This is not the first complaint of child abuse at this facility according to the VA Social Service Website which the complaint was found VALID!

I have granddaughters 3 1/2 year old and a 5 mos old who attended daycare here. And they LOVE it. I have taken advantage of the open door policy and was impressed. Even my mother have dropped in and was impressed. My sister and mother both have worked in daycares for years and liked what Lots For Kids had to offer.
