Four N Auto Sales And Service

Since the previous review was from 5 years ago, this story should tell you that nothing has changed.
I was using my husbands car while he was out on business to go work. One day there was no more cool air coming from the AC. I decided to give 4 N Auto a try because he was very close to home and handled Asian/foreign cars. I dropped off the car and got a call at lunch stating that the the AC clutch and compressor is pretty much done and that it would cost $1600 for a full replacement. Once I told my husband about the story he decided to call the mechanic he normally takes his car to. *i didn't do this at first because it was far from home) They gave him an estimate (even though they don't do estimates by what a mechanic says) and told them IF that was the case they'd repair with labor for $1000 which was a little better. I was able to drop off the car before work and my husband got a call saying that there was nothing wrong with the AC unit. It was just out of Freon, which was my correct assumption. I'm so glad we shopped and compared but of course i'm out of $100 bucks for basically helping the mechanic to construct a lie so that he could get some money out of me. Plus, since i was a woman dropping it off, i suspect that he thought I was stupid. I don't like that I wasted 100 bucks but its better than 1600! Do not go to this place.

BEWARE - Recently had the power steering pump and other associated parts replaced on my BMW 325i. After paying $1100 for Mike the owner to fix, the steering is still not working properly. Besides feeling like I've been shammed out of 2 weeks worth of pay, Mike was by far the rudest person I have every met, he handled it in an extremely unprofessional manner. I have never been so insulted in my life. He told me he was doing me a favor after I BYPASSED 100'S OF AUTO REPAIR SHOPS & PAID HIM FOR A SERVICE - I AM THE CUSTOMER! He charges way too much for shady service & extremely poor customer service.

Our vehicle was towed to this establishment on the wrecker driver's word the owner was a good, fair mechanic. There were several things wrong with the car. After $2200.00 and being told the problems had been fixed, the car broke down again close to where my husband works (by the way the car is my husband's work vehicle and he was without it for at least 3 weeks). He actually took the car to another mechanic close to his job. The man fixed the problem and when my husband told him about the latest repairs and that he was still having a problem, the new mechanic looked into it. This mechanic discovered that 4 N Auto had not done any work that they said they had done...so now we are having a creditable mechanic work on it and he will fix it!!!! I have also contacted the Better Business Bureau about this issue... WARNING --- DO NOT USE them unless you have money to throw away!!!!
