Vaccination
Rabies vaccinations are required to help protect your pet and your family, and may only be administered by a licensed veterinarian.
Comprehensive Examination
We know surgery can be stressful for both clients and patients. Our clinic has an in-house laboratory, which allows us to provide pre-anesthetic bloodwork prior to anesthesia. Our veterinarians will review your pet's medical history and perform a complete physical examination, prior to placing your pet under anesthesia. Your pet will be monitored closely during any procedure requiring anesthesia.

Parasites Treatment and Control
During wellness examinations, our veterinarians investigate each body system to ensure your pet is in tip-top shape from nose to tail! Intestinal parasite and heartworm tests are provided, to ensure your pet remains parasite free. Some intestinal parasites are transmissible to humans. Therefore, intestinal parasite testing helps to keep your best friend and family safe from unwanted disease.

Kidney Disease Treatment
Ultrasound technology is another diagnostic tool that Woodland Animal Clinic has added to help aid your pets. Our vets have received extended ultrasound technology, and the benefits are much greater than simply pregnancy detection. Ultrasound uses harmless sound waves without radiation to “look” inside your pet. This now allows to diagnose pancreatitis, liver disease, kidney disease, cardiac function and locate possible obstructions if your pet has bitten off more than they can chew much faster than before.
Periodontal Disease Treatment
It is very important to maintain your pet's dental health. Dental disease, including periodontal disease may negatively affect the heart, lungs, and kidneys.

Spaying and Neutering
Our veterinarians are available for consultation about nutrition, behavior, spaying and neutering, and senior wellness programs. Our senior patients require a little more special attention, as their needs change. Therefore, we provide senior wellness examinations, including bloodwork (CBC and serum chemistry) to check for heart, liver, kidney, and endocrine diseases.

Laboratory Services
Our in-house laboratory provides hematology, serum chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial laboratories, which are specialized for diagnostic medicine and doctor consultations to provide our clients with the best results possible. During wellness examinations, your pet is fully evaluated from outside the body. However, sometimes it is necessary to see what is going on inside the body. Both bloodwork and diagnostic imaging provide valuable information on the internal health of your pet. Diagnostic imaging allows the veterinarian to determine changes, such as organ enlargement, intestinal disease, fractures, bladder stones, and certain spinal cord diseases.
X-Ray
Woodland Animal Clinic has recently added digital radiography to our hospital. We now have the benefit of capturing images of your pets much faster to reduce the possible exposure of radiation to both your beloved pet and veterinarian! Previously, overexposed images would have to be retaken, which would mean your pet would have to be exposed twice. Thanks to digital radiography, we now have the ability to “fix” these images with contrast rather than retakes. Also, our chemicals used to process our old images are no longer needed. Finally, we now have the ability to email your pet’s image to another specialist if needed, saving valuable time for your pet.
