My high school daughter and I met one of her friends and her family today at Just For You and we couldn't be happier with the prom dresses we bought! The selection is very good and the owner was so helpful and patient. I just don't understand the negative reviews so wanted to make sure I encourage people looking for prom dresses to check out this store. Last weekend we suffered sticker shock when we saw what some gowns are going for, and were really excited to find a darling long dress for my daughter here at an affordable price. The dress we bought was not one my daughter would have picked out to try, but Bev encouraged us and it is just gorgeous on her. Her friend also found just what she was looking for. We found the owner to be very knowledgeable and helpful, and very pleasant.

I needed to have my matron of honor dress for my sister's wedding hemmed and taken in at the bust. I went to Just For You in Verona and was quoted $65. When I came and got the dress, the bust was so tight that I was spilling out over the top. The owner told me she would let it out 1" from the original 3" she took in. I came back the next day and it was marginally better but still too tight.

The biggest reason why I'm writing is how she tried to bully me into taking the dress. She gave me every reason in the book! I was not comfortable in the dress so I asked her to let it out another inch. She was clearly irritated but said she would do it and charge me an extra $10.

When I came back, she let out the bust completely! When I raised my arms over my head, the dress crept down and now the back of the hem was dragging on the floor. I needed to leave, so I cut my losses and paid her $75 for a botched hem. It was so bad I had to have a family friend urgently fix the dress for me.

I just received the most adorable outfits for my four granddaughters' American Girl dolls. Bev put in so much detail and quality into all of the doll clothes. I highly recommend her !

As the owner of a dress that was left at a different consignment shop where someone ripped the silk trail on the back of the gown and cost me $50 to repair it - I was glad to see shoes had to be removed and for the same reasons, "Melissa A." writes. It may be different but, if you're trying to sell your dress you want it to be in the same condition if that doesn't happen. The size and layout of the shop could be different but, that is my only caveat.

Yes, there are rules. The first time I was here I was a little taken aback by the store's rules. (Take shoes off, store purses under chair, let Bev zip the dress). HOWEVER, I now completely understand...this is a consignment shop. These aren't her dresses, they belong to her consignment customers. She wants to be sure that they are well taken care of while they are in her care.

SUPER knowledgeable about dresses and alterations. What I like best is that you'll find something unique that you wouldn't find at the mall.

If you want personal service, go. If you want to browse and be left alone, this isn't the place. She watches over her dresses. Personally, after having been to 5 stores in one day in the mall, I MUCH prefer this atmosphere -- and merchandise!

my sister and I went to this shop looking for evening gowns for a charity event. Owner told us to remove our shoes and to put our purses down on chairs so we won't snag the gowns with them. We felt very uncomfortable with this owner and left right away I would not recommend this shop at all.

Bev is AMAZING! My youngest daughter lost her most cherished possession - a terrycloth blue kitty that she carried with her everywhere. After calling numerous people, I finally found Bev at Just For You. I gave her a few photos of my daughter with Blue Kitty - and Bev replicated Blue Kitty almost exactly. She is WONDERFUL. She had Blue Kitty completed earlier than she originally estimated, and her workmanship is SUPERB. Not many people would tackle the job of replicating a child's most treasured possession, but Bev is truly a treasure. She showed compassion and kindness along with her unbeatable sewing skills. You will be forever grateful if you allow her to make or alter something for you!

Not impressed. Owner was very rude - was "too busy" to take five minutes to look at my bridesmaid dress and estimate how much it would be to take it in a bit and hem it. She kept insisting that "it has to be done" as though hers is the only shop in town! I'll return to one of the multiple places kind enough to give me five minutes of their time for an estimate.

The owner was so rude and not helpful and decided to tell me what size I was before measuring me for a dress. She the proceeded to tell me that she didn't want my business. DO NOT GO HERE

My friend and I went to look for prom dresses there. She was very rude and short with us. We were not rude back to her but she continued to be rude with us. Not allowing us to take a look through the dresses. I fell in love with one of the dresses I saw. However, I reused to give such a rude woman $150. Too bad for her! Her attitude costs her sales left and right.

I found very little information about this boutique online so I called the shop to get more information. I talked to the owner but she was extremely short with me and seemed unwilling to answer my few questions without first making me feel stupid for asking them. Having heard good things about this small town local business, I was excited to support them (her), but following our conversation over the phone, I am no longer looking forward to talking to this rude woman face-to-face. I would rather give my business to someone who will not ridicule me before I even meet them.

My daughter and I had a fun afternoon shopping for her Prom dress at Just For You. The shop is tiny, but it is packed with dresses of all shapes and sizes. The owner was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We got a beautiful Prom dress for a great price. I would recommend this shop to a friend.

I love, love, love "Just for You." What a great way to shop for a wedding dress. The shop is operated by a lady named Bev and she is a HOOT!. I read some of the other reviews here and my perception is: if you can't think "outside of the box" don't go to a small boutique.



My Mom & I had the best time finding my wedding dress. Bev was extrememly busy for a cold December day. That was because one girl stopped by to show Bev her wedding pictures. Another woman who had bought her dress from Bev three years ago stopped by to show off her new baby! Still others were picking up alterations that had been done. Mom and I were introduced to each person that came in the store. It felt like we were visiting a friend.



Anyway, my dress is gorgeous! It is from a cancelled wedding, so it has never been worn. The price was unbelieveable. She has wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses, Prom dresses and mother-of-the-bride dresses. Mom didn't want to look for herself just yet as she wants to loose some weight before the wedding, but I'm fairly certain she will check out Just for You again

I know this shop and the owner very well. Bev is forthright and honest, however, she has no problem setting a "bridezilla"straight. This customer should look to her own behavior before trying to ruin an honest person's business.

I had my wedding dress altered at Just For You. This is a one-person shop and you do need to be prepared to be patient because of this. This will be easier if you live in town. However, if you are willing to be flexible, you will definitely reap the rewards. The prices are great; definitely lower than when I had a couple bridesmaids dresses altered at two different bridal shops. The quality of the work was excellent- my strapless, low back dress was a perfect fit- with no bulging, but no need to pull it up either- and the last-minute spaghetti straps that she sewed on for me (for the reception- I tucked them in the dress during the ceremony) held up great at the reception despite 5 hours of very active dancing! By comparison, a friend had similar straps attached to her dress, and they popped off after 2 dances. Also, my bustle stayed up all night, and at every wedding I have been to the bustle comes undone at some point during the reception, so I was very pleased by this. I will say that before the wedding I was concerned that the dress was too loose. She was very considerate of my concerns but in the end I gotta say she was right- it wasn't too loose, because it stayed up fine all night even when I didn't use the straps, and for once I didn't have to stop halfway through a wedding to unzip my dress and breathe!



She offered me great advice throughout the alterations process (and is always honest about the limits of what she is able to do for a particular dress), and was always attentive and helpful if I had a concern. She also carries wedding dresses for sale and spent quite a lot of time with me looking through dresses I might like. I loved it so much more than shopping for dresses at a standard bridal shop- no pressure and you have an expert seamstress's advice on how easy or hard each dress will be to alter- if you are in the market for a bargain dress, I would definitely recommend taking a look at what she has to offer. However, you will want to shop in normal bridal stores first to get a feel for what style you want- because these dresses are for resale by individual owners, she can't let everybody with a passing interest try them on and slowly get them dirtier and dirtier, so you should be serious if you ask to try on dresses. In the end I didn't decide on a dress there and found one in a sample room at another store. But she was perfectly gracious about still doing my alterations and never held it against me that I didn't buy a dress from her.



Bottom line, going with Just for You for my alterations was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding.

I went in to the shop requesting information regarding wedding accessories (crinoline, jewelry, headpieces, etc.). The woman who runs the shop was horribly rude, informed me she could not help because it was "prom season", and could not believe I was asking for these things during her busy time of year. I have never been treated with such disrespect and rudeness. I would not recommend this shop to anyone - definitely go somewhere else and save yourself the trouble.
