Regis Salons

Not being a local, I asked my coworker where she got her hair done and she told me Regis. I scheduled an appointment for the next day. I arrived 15 minutes early and was not seen until 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment. When Melanie was done with my highlights and lowlights I pointed that the highlights began between 1/4 and 1/2 inch away from my roots and that there were large portions of lowlights without highlights. Instead of admitting that she had made me look like a modern-day Cruella Deville (one extremely bright highlight in the very front followed by a large section of brown lowlight) she told me that "well when you style it like this, it will spread out the blonde and hide the roots" as if my hair is plastered into position at all times. She then proceeded to begin butchering my hair. The lengths were uneven, the layers choppy and blunt, and one side is tapered an inch higher than the other. When I pointed these things out to her, she held the hair together under my chin and cut that one bit to make those strands even. A week later I was still upset- I can't wear my hair pulled back without 1/2 of roots showing. I decided to call and set another appointment to have it fixed (I would have had her fix it immediately had I not had to rush to class since my appointment began so late). Melanie rehighlighted the blonde portions, making the strands an almost white-blonde (what I refer to as stripper-blonde) and still managed to not get my roots. She did fix the large gaps of lowlights, but only on the upper 1/3 of my head- the sides are still as they were. I didn't even entertain the idea of inviting her to bring scissors to my hair again. I will never return to Regis- they hired her and that reflects on the quality of who else they will hire.
