Open Road Paving Company, LLC was created in March 2008 as a result of the merger of Champaign Asphalt and MACC of Illinois - two of the largest asphalt companies serving East Central Illinois having over 100 years of combined industry experience. Open Road is committed to providing high quality asphalt paving to our heavy highway customers as well as to our local private, commercial customers. Open Road operates two asphalt plants in East Central Illinois, strategically located in Urbana and Fairmount, allowing us to provide asphalt to an eight county area including Champaign, Clark, Dewitt, Douglas, Edgar, Ford, Piatt, and Vermillion counties. We maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control labs at both plant locations and utilize a maintenance facility on North Oak Street in Champaign. Open Road owns a fleet of equipment utilized for heavy highway construction including 6 asphalt pavers, 32 rollers, 2 material transfer devices, concrete saws, excavators, backhoes, skid steers, etc.
