Children's Eye Institute

Hello,I'm writing to tell a story. On August 3,2015 my premature son had an eye appointment. My husband and I took him to the address that we GPS. Even though it stated permentally closed we proceeded to go any how .

The address was invalid so we came back home. Upon arrival to my home in Victorville, I received a voicemail from a female named ariana stating she was from the children's eye institute, and that we missed kings appointment also if we do not bring him in that CPS would get Involved. I called them back and explained that I had the wrong address and ask if I could reschedule another appointment. Ariana told me no and demanaded me to bring him at that second or they will call CPS. I told her that I don't like to be threatened and ask if I could speak to a manager.

When the manager got on the line she never stated her name she was just awfully rude, disrespectful, and told me to come now. My thing that I explained to her was I have other children, what is wrong with giving me another appointment? I then got angry and called Pomona hospital explained to the social worker what happen and asked her to find me another doctor. She said she would try.
When I called them back I explained that I was going to find another eye clinic and ariana said OK.
On August 10,2015 CPS shows up at my door the children's eye institute made a report stating that I'm neglecting my children. She stated that I need to find a doctor for my son to attend to. She also stated that this was wrong for what they did. I called the children's eye institute and tried to reschedule an appointment the only reply was they will get back with me. On today Aug 12,2015 my husband and I called and they refused care for my son which they stated he had an eye disease.

This is horrible treatment, this center needs to be closed for being rude, disrespectful, making false statements against me, they slandered my name, and now they are discriminating me for what reason. They lied and this story needs to be heard.
PS I contacted the BBB and filed an complaint.

there is a wait sometimes because office is so busy but the quality of care we found for our child was top notch, they doctors here know about children's eye problems and were very helpful in taking care of our sons crossed eyes!

That's to bad that other reviews where implement visits. I IN THE OTHER HAND I'M GRATEF TO THIS OFGICE AND DR. SIEGEL IS NOT BARBERIC. HE IS A DOCTOEBTHAT KNOWS EXCATLY WHAT THIS BABIES NEEDS. HE WAS ABLE TO MY SON THAT WAS BORN PREMATIRE, BUT IS NOW 3YEARS OLD. AND HAS HIS VISION. BECAUSE DR. SIEGEL CONDITION WAS CAUGHT IN TIME.... I'M PLEASED WITH THE OFFICE THE NURSES AND ALWAYS WILL BE GRAYEFUL FOR DR. SIEGEL.

This place is terrible. They make you wait in a packed, small waiting room. Many people have to wait outside. They tell you to be prepared to wait at least 4 hours. This is so unprofessional. I would go somewhere else, but apparently there is no where else to go.

Don't recommend this place had a bad experience took my daughter for her appt everyone in the front rude and unprofessional.

WARNING TORTURE DONE HERE TO INFANTS!

This Dr. Siegel is barbaric. Don't ever go here. The wait is long for infants and children. Then they tear and bleed your infants eyelids with barbaric practices. Technology these days should be in the 21st Century, but Dr. Siegel and his staff use practices from the middle ages on infants. Both my daughters had torn bloody eyelids from This nasty place.

This place is horrible. 45 mins to see a nurse, then they send u back to the overpacked waiting room. Then after 2 hours you see a doctor to get your eyes dialated, then tthey send you back out to wait more, they have no compassion. They only carr about 1 thing Money. If my daughter hadn't lost her glasses, I wouln't be here. Needless to say I'm in search for a new Children's Eye Doctor

I bought my child here over 7yrs ago, he is a patient of Dr. Lance Siegel who has done an exceptional job caring for the care of my childs eyes!!!...Im now down to 1 visit every 6months to a year.."Thank God"..to day 03/07/2013 my son was scheduled an appointment @ 12:30pm:'( & its 4:07pm & I'm still here & my son was dilatedabout 15min ago..pissed!!! Spoke wit Jose the front receptionist who was Very rude!!! & lacked communication skills & have no business in the front!!! Not to mention the 75$ rescheduling fee if I rescheduled!! & this place dnt make small $$$...& with that being said...it allowes children to eat inside wich is very understandable with such long wait time..but "com on really"!! To cheap to pay some1 to push a dry mop every hour to @ least keep the facility clean or decent!!! The hardwood floors were "Filthy"...kids picking up steped on snacks off the floor including my child who I hated to let down out of my lap!!! O'lets not 4gt the nasty restroom that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a weak jst wiped "No disinfectant"..it reminded me of a crack house you see on T.V..over crowed,nasty,bad service!!

Never ever ever go here. My wife had trouble making the appointment to start. The faciity said they never received the refferal. Then the refferal was mixed up between the child Dr. and the adult Dr. After 2 weeks they finally corrected this and we were able to make an appointment for my son. Then we had an 8:30 am appt and they dont tell you till you get there that the appointment is going to be from 2-5 hrs. We got there on time at 8:30am and was not seen until 10:30am. Then my son's eyes were dialated and we were told to go eat and come back in 40 min so his eyes could be dialated. Once we returned 40 min later we let the front desk know and we were not seen again for another 1hr and 30 min. Then the Dr tried to relate poorly to my son by giving bad jokes about pizza repair. We didnt leae there till almost 12:45 pm.... Also if they write you a prescription there is a $70 fee unless you pay them on the spot then it is dicounted to $35. Then you have to get the glasses somewhere else. They dont tell you that they do not take vision plans it is on a small yellow paper on a window. Never going back there again.

I haven't even been there yet, but yesterday I tried making an appointment and I was told to hold. I was on hold for 9 minutes, when I hung up and called back it was a busy signal..... I called back 3x and still the busy signal. Just from that experience I knew I had to find reviews on this office and luckily I did. I will be going elsewhere.

I was also disappointed...it's a good thing I only have to take my kid there once a year! The scheduled appt time was 11:30 a.m., appt time at 1130am we were in a room by 11:50 a.m., eyes were dilated, then we were to wait 20 min for the effect. Ok, 20 min...no problem, right? Yea right!
I had to TELL the front desk TWICE, that we had already been waiting for almost 2 hours and my kid was starving cuz it was lunch time. FINALLY, around 1:30 p.m., when we got called in again just to wait for another 15 min. The DR. came in and spent 5 mins with us then sent us on our way. Total time spent from 11:15am to 2:00pm., almost 4 hours. That is just ridiculous!!!

Childrens Eye Institute was not what I expected at all. They have a sing stating that waiting period is "estimate 2-4 hours" just to see the eye doctor. You have to be waiting there for a very long time. I had to wait there for almost 6 hours!! If you have nothing else to do but waste your time just to see a doctor than this is the place you should go to. Very disappointed and outrage for lack of service.
