I was anxious headed to the Emergency Clinic since it wasn’t the vet we’ve had for 11-15years. Everything went smooth, once our dog was examined, the veterinarian came and explained exactly what was wrong and what they were going to do. Luckily it was somewhat slow at out time of arrival & we were in & out in a reasonable amount of time.
Only thing I would ask to change is that the vet tech and the veterinarian introduce themselves when coming into the room at first contact. I’m even good with just a first name!

The best overall veterinary care I have found in the Tyler area is at Tyler Animal Emergency Clinic. From check-in to checkout, the entire staff is personable and efficient, caring and compassionate, towards pet owners and pets alike. The excellence of everything at this facility is absolutely outstanding. Special recognition and appreciation to veterinarian Dr. Jay and assistant Haley, and administrative staff Lana and Nakia for going above and beyond to provide exceptional service to my cat Ricci and me. A 5-star rating is much deserved!!

THE ABSOLUTE WORST VET I HAVE ENCOUNTERED!!!!! THEY DONT EVEN DESERVE A STAR.On Friday, May 8, 2015, two of my dogs got in a horrible dog fight and left one almost dead. She is a rat terrier. My mom rushed outside to get the hurt dog and called me and it was around 6:00 p.m. She told me she didn’t think the dog was going to make it by the time I could get there. So I asked her if she thought we could save her if we could get her to a vet. So I called around until I found the Tyler Emergency Clinic which is the only open that I could find. Told them what had happened they said bring her on. I got there first and filled out the paperwork that way we could take her straight back when my mom arrived with her. When she arrived we immediately took her in a room and the vet came to look at her and said she was just trying to go in shock and she has severe cuts/rips on her back, around her neck and even puncture holes around her throat. So they took her to the back and we sat up front in waiting area. The vet came up front to get us and we went to back to see her and they had her in a kennel covered up and with an IV. He said they would get her stable through the night and we would see on Saturday what could be done with the cuts/rips as far as sewing her up. So we left after we paid $410.61 Friday night. I called Saturday, May 9, 2015 around 2 pm and the staff told me the vets were changing shifts and that for me to call back about 3 pm. So I did and the vet said she was doing good, he was not going to sew her up because it would not be beneficial. I said well you are the vet and know what is best. I said when is she able to come home. He said you can pick her up tomorrow. I said okay thank you. So I called Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 2:45 pm and asked what time should I be there to pick her up and he told me 8 pm. And I asked why in the world so late when you said she is doing great? He was very short and snappy and told me if it was an inconvenience I could come get her now. I told him I did not say it was an inconvenience I wanted to know what was going to be done to her for the next 6 hours being I am the one paying the bill. He said well you have already paid for the IV bag and her meds so you might as well let her stay on them as long as you can. I thought this was very strange but he is the vet so I said okay. I arrived at 8 pm to pick her up. Paid another $260.75 which brought my total to $671.36. So on that Monday I took her to my vet and had her looked at. She stunk so bad by the time I got her to my vet. He said she was eat up with infection and that is what the smell was. The entire weekend her wounds were not cleaned nor cared for and the vet over the weekend said she did not need to be sewed up. But my vet had to sedate her again clean her wounds put in a tube for drainage from the infection and then sewed her up and she was nearly dead from all the infection she got while sitting in a kennel and not being cared for. All the weekend vet did was give her medicine and that was it. To say I am highly unsatisfied is an understatement. To charge someone that and nearly kill there animal is ridiculous. The vet’s name who nearly killed my dog is Marcus R. Alexander. IF you cherish your animals DO NOT TAKE THEM TO HIM.

This vet clinic is the best one I have been to by far. I had a 7 wk German Shepherd rot mix. We had to currently put him down due to a neurological spinal condition. But however the first sign there was something wrong with bow we went up there asap. The lady penny at the front desk greater us with a smile and concern for my puppy. Doctor Alexander was very efficient and knew exactly what he was talking about. He was not rude or hateful towards us and he explained everything about our questions. He gave us direct answers without hesitation. All in all I recommend this emergency clinic because of how they were with us and my puppy. And I am greatful for them helping us.

Dr. Alexander was the one who removed my dog's eye after an altercation. He was no nonense, informative and logical--which is what people need when they're panicking. He did a great job with the surgery and I appreciate his honesty and advice during a stressful and traumatic experience. The reception staff was sweet, and I appreciate all they did for us!

Everyone was very helpful, knowledgeable & reassuring. Our 2 1/2 pound, 7 year old yorkie fell off the couch onto our tile floor & was unconscious for 25-30 minutes. We were scared & your staff was comforting & encouraged us to call or text at any time to check on Nikki. This is the first time we've ever used an ER Vet hospital & I thank God you were here to help us.

The staff were pleasant and informative beyond my expectations. Even though our emergency turned out to not be so bad, we were given advice on our future options concerning Bella's condition. Many Thanks.

No Compassion!!!

No star service...Please Do Not call this office if you have an emergency!! Dr. Alexander did not seem to care about the emergency care of my baby.. He basically told me he didn't have time to see us! This Dr. showed no compassion to us being in desperate need of his help!
