Founded in 1954, Southern Oaks Baptist Church is a Christian religious institution. Based in Tyler, Texas, it has several ministries and offers a range of services, including education, recreation and spiritual development. The church also provides a child care center, Southern Oaks Playhouse, for infants up to pre-kindergarten level. The playhouse takes care of children who have working mothers, on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the month. It extends Biblical lessons for the children, along with providing safe shelter. Southern Oaks Baptist Church has other ministries catering to children adolescents and adults.
