In my mind these guys are the best within 300 miles. I have never had one problem with them, even when I was a new customer before they knew my face. I think the rude issue is just the fact that they get asked 10,000 very stupid questions a day. I was in there last week and the owner was on the phone with someone that wanted to know about a “clip” for a revolver. Couple things wrong with that, and if you don’t know, you need to do some research before you go jumping in. These guys are very busy and you need to be patient with them. They deal with tons of legitimate customers.

Went to purchase 300 CCI Large Rifle Primers - they would only sell a quantity (100) equal to the bullet count that I purchased. I explained that I had more brass to prime but no deal! So I opted for 200 Large Rifle Primers - both Remington. However I discovered that one of the Remington boxes was for Magnum reloading. They would not exchange. The counter "helpers" were rude and too busy for good customer service (have always found that to be the case. I don't haunt their establishment any longer. I may pay more but it is worth it to me to avoid that drive to Admiral and Yale.

I have bought several guns and other supplies from Dong's. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and busy. They have always answered any questions and help as much as possible. If anything, my only complaint would be they need more staff.

I dunno what all the uproar is about this buisness being so bad. If your a general customer with common sense and dont want to be one of those people that needs service now and right this second. They have done excellent with me and answered every question polietly and to the best of thier knowledge. 4 stars just because there is no gun shop with every accesorie or firearm known to man.

Worst price gougers i have ever seen, even in today's panic prices. If you want to pay $100 for a brick of cheap .22 ammo taht walmart sells for $21, this store is for you. If you want to feel like you are in a dirty pawn shop full of junk & outdated stuff, this is your place. workers are rude and wont give you the time of day. go anywhere but here.

Practices Price Gouging on Ammo

Dongs send people out to Wal-Mart, Academy, etc to buy ammo (particularly 22LR), and then turns around and sells it in their store for triple the price.

Employees are not very friendly either.

As usual, poor customer relations. Was trying to sell CCI .22 bullets I bought last week for $7.85 for $24. Pure greed and ignorant business practices. Will never buy another thing from them...

I get good service at Dong's. It's one of the Last good gun stores. This old man usually hasn't shaved for month, dressed like a bum trying to hobble through clutter with a walker with nothing to give me away as a good customer. I have never had a problem with getting anything but good service. It may not be a fast as I like but unlike the chain when I get my turn I get someone that knows what they're doing or they will find someone who does and they almost always have something to do the job I make sure they know I will buy from them. Not pick their brain then buy online. I ALWAYS wait my turn when their with someone else even an employee. I don't waste their time & they don't waste mine. But when I need help they are quick to give it as soon as they can get free. It helps in any to pick up a few things to buy before asking questions. I was able to buy Winchester Ranger -T 55 grain 223 & primers at the worst of it. Having what I need when no one else did was great.

Don't go there if you want to be treated with courtesy or respect. I went in to buy ammo a few times. The first time I had to ask and the guy was short, but not rude. I assumed he was just distracted or was having a bad day, but I have been twice more and it's always the same. They have a great selection and the prices aren't bad, but I just can't go in there again and respect myself. The Internet has better deals and there are several other gunships in town

Rude

Not a place you want to spend your money. I went with the intention of spending around $300-$400, but due to the young man's rude manners I left without spending a dime. I would recommend not going to the store.

I wouldn't recommend Dong's for bedside manner, they do seem preoccupied and sometimes troubled to answer questions. You can thank the state of our Union for that. The current demand for guns and ammo is strong enough to support them, with or without salesmanship. However, they do sometimeshave some of the scarce loads and hard to come by accesories that the big box stores may not stock. Their prices can be better too, just depends on what weopon you are pricing.

NEW CUSTOMER

MY FIRST & LAST TIME IN THE STORE WAS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. ALL PERSONEL, INCLUDING THE OWNER WERE UNFRIENDLY & NON-HELPFUL. IT SEEMED AS IF, IF THEY DID NOT KNOW YOU, THEY WERE NOT INTERESTED IN ASSISTING YOU AT ALL. AFTER FINALLY ENDING MY SHOPPING, BECAUSE THE OWNER ACTED LIKE HE WANTED TO ARGUE BECAUSE HE HEARD ME TALKING TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER HAVING THE SAME EXPERIENCE AS MYSELF, I ACCIDENTALLY PAYED WITH THE WRONG CARD & THEY REFUSED TO REMOVE THE TRANSACTION & PUT IT ON THE CORRECT CARD. I SPENT $300 & WAS NOT THROUGH BUT I GOT SO ANGRY I WALKED OUT BEFORE FINISHING. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM & WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN.

Great Price & Lots of Selection

I recently purchased a 9 mm Springfield XDM handgun for my husband as a gift. I had previously visited another store in Arkansas, I wasn't aware at the time you had to be a resident of the state you purchased from. Needless to say this was a new experience for me. I already knew what I wanted to purchase so there wasn't much dialogue back and forth about the pistol but the guys were very nice and extremley helpful. They even threw in a free calendar with my purchase! :o)

I called around to a couple of places (Bass Pro Shops - Broken Arrow & Academy) and Dong's was by far the best price. They also had a large selection of ammo, gun accessories, and other self defense items. For example while I was there I purchased mase for myself.

Even though the store was very busy I received great service and I'm very happy with the product that I purchased. I'll admit I was a bit intimidated when I pulled up (please note I'm a small town country girl) but the atmosphere in the store was great.

Thank you guys for the great service. Very much appreciated!

A very unfriendly and disconnected staff. They act as if the sole purpose of your visit is to make their lives miserable by getting them off of their backside to help you. What a bunch of jerks!
