Overall

Ordered a new drum kit for a price that can’t be beat! The staff is awesome and know there stuff! Tony is NOT a BAD guy he just very busy and that’s why he hires people like Dan :-). I was so pleased with the service I went back the next day and bought my girlfriend a bass. I have been searching all over town for a place with service like back home in Long Island NY and this is the place for grate one on one service!! I’m a lifer and will keep coming back :-D

This owner, Tony Bernard, has an "F" rating with the BBB and ignores all their requests to settle all the disputes against him. He will blatantly lie to your face and has no conscience. My story...same as everyone else. Paid up front for music software & hardware promised in one week. It didn't come. Then I read the reviews and knew what I was in for and cancelled the order after a month of waiting and he said he'd refund me. Even after me telling Tony that I read all the dozens of bad reviews, he still put me off time after time for 2 months. I recorded all the phone calls of him promising he'd send me a refund and never sending it. I finally had file complaints to the Arizona Attorney General and the BBB. When I told him I was going to put a bad review on line, he pleaded like a baby for me not to. The only way to get your money is to threaten him. How he stays in business, I don't know. How his employees stay there is beyond me. He needs professional help as a pathological liar.

Same story, cheated

Need I bother write this? Just read the others as I should have. Let's see. Paid for a Ukulele amp and mic in August. They said why not pick up the amp when my uke arrived from Gretch. Tony said 1 week max. I called every week for a while. Same story "wow, we should have called to say there is a delay. I'm so sorry. I'll call when it gets in. Probably a few days." Now it's after New Years. No uke. They don't have the mic or amp I paid for either. Sold it to someone else. I should have taken them that day but I didn't know it was a scam. I'm out $600. Don't do it to yourself. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Please.

I totally agree with Thomas C, I recently ordered a Fender amp and traded in a nice USA Strat/ with case along with $302.00 which was charged to my credit card. The amp was not in stock and had to be ordered, Tony stated that the amp would be delivered within two weeks, if not sooner. Two weeks approached and no amp, I made several calls and basically received the runaround. I went to the store and retrieved my Strat along with a credit to my card for $302. I don't have time for a business that has no regard for its customers. Is it any wonder that more and more people shop on line. If I would have ordered from Sweetwater I would have had that amp setting in my studio a week ago !!

Tony uses his customers as interest free loans. Tony never ordered the items I paid for. I know because I called the manufacturers. It was always one of two stories when I got a hold of the manufacturers. It was 1) Tony never ordered it to begin with or 2) Tony was no longer a dealer. Tony has no problem lying to you over and over. The lies and excuses never stop. He dodges phone calls all the time. I know a lot of musicians who had the same experience I had and none of us will buy there again.

Don't order anything from them unless you want grief. They kept my money 14 weeks without delivering the product. I finally got communication through to the supplier, Godin, who was appalled by what they had done to me, and said they would quit using S&S as one of their dealers.

I too as well as many musicians I know have been through the same experience. You order something, they never can produce what you order and they will not refund your money. They always ask you to call them and then when you do they always ask if you can call them back in 15 minutes as if you have nothing better to do than wait around to call them 15 minutes from now. If you do call back the person will either be gone or busy and they will ask you to call back again. They will also try to talk you into another product other than the one you ordered. Can't produce the order and won't refund the money no matter how long you've been waiting, in my case over a year. A huge waste of time. You're better off somewhere else. Every musician I've ever met in this town has had the same experience when ordering something that is not in stock in the store. Finally, all the time you spend getting a "great deal" isn't worth it. You can find it cheaper just about anywhere online. I'd leave zero stars but I have to leave them 1 to post this review.

Don't pre pay for anything

I purchased a guitar, guitar stand and a case two weeks before Christmas. It is now April 1st and still no case. I have called and visited the store with no success. I have asked for my money back and to this day they still refuse to return it. If they have the item go ahead an purchase it, but if it is not in the store, don't even think about buying anything. Shop online, the prices will be cheaper and you will have a better chance of getting your item. I have always tried to shop where I lived, but when vendors do this to customers I start to look elsewhere.
