        After almost 10 years of seeing Dr Carey we will no longer use his practice due to the extreme rudeness and incompetence of his office staff.

        Yes, I had to wait--lots of people wanting medical attention this time of year. But the staff was so kind, attentive, professional and the treatment I received was top notch. The receptionist or office manager was above and beyond in her demeanor and professionalism, and Dr. Carey is personable and professional and has a great support staff. I would highly recommend.

        AWFUL. Was visiting NC with my boyfriend for the weekend and came in with a simple UTI. The receptionist and nurse were very nice but they did not take my insurance which is widely accepted (not a big deal). I gave them a urine sample and expected it to be sent away to be analyzed. Instead, when the doctor heard I was just visiting for the weekend (and when I mentioned I was 20 the doctor began speaking to me in a very judgemental tone), they threw the sample away and didn't bother to send it off to be tested. A week later I came down with a severe kidney infection because the antibiotics I was prescribed by the doctor were not the correct kind or dosage. Essentially I spent 150 dollars on a visit that did more harm than good and they couldn't even supply the Emergency Room with information on the culture because they hadn't sent it away. Now I have a $1,000 emergency room fee becayse my kidneys started to fail and this urgent care/family practice won't even reimberse me for my visit that they screwed up.

        I have visited Tryon Urgent & Family Care twice in the past 2 months. My first visit was for a fractured bone in my foot. My second visit was a followup. At both visits I received excellent and friendly care. I would not hesitate to recommend Tryon Urgent & Family Care to others.
