The Lodge

Made a reservation for 12, but 13 showed up. We waited for 30 minutes to be seated, but the table was still set for 12. The host was snotty and took forever to find another chair, leaving one of our party standing. Service was very slow, too few servers scheduled. Drinks took a long time. Appetizers weren't served simultaneously, same with dinner orders. The host helped serve and got the orders mixed up, then suggested we didn't remember what we ordered. One of our party ordered his $32 steak medium rare - it came out medium. He sent it back, the server brought it back and said the cook said it was fine the way it was and to eat the thick part first!! He actually argued that it was a matter of opinion. Took forever to get the check, then another wait to get our charge card back. My scampi was good, but not worth another frustrating trip to the Lodge. They're not as up-scale as they think they are and they need to find hosts/managers who know how to schedule, how to handle large parties and what customer service means.
