The Tahoe-Truckee Sanitation Agency, also known as T-TSA, provides a range of wastewater treatment services. The agency treats and disposes wastewater, as well as offers recycling solutions. It uses carbon dioxide for controlling the pH levels of chemically treated waters. The agencies serves several member districts, including the Tahoe City Public Utility District (TCPUD), North Tahoe Public Utility District (NTPUD), Alpine Springs County Water District (ASCWD), Squaw Valley Public Service District (SVPSD) and Truckee Sanitary District (TSD). It has a water reclamation plant that removes phosphorus and biological nitrogen from water. In addition, the Tahoe-Truckee Sanitation Agency offers an automatic payment program, as well as operates and maintains wastewater treatment plants and related facilities.
