Troy Cablevision, Inc.

Very upset with the service given here. First of all, I pay a lot of money per month only to get barely 20 standard definition channels. Secondly, they recently charged me WAY more than was actually due and all they could tell me was that I will get my money back in 10 days... So now I have to wait to get my money back that I wasn't even supposed to pay in the first place.

Probably the worst customer service in the industry - if you can even reach a live person to talk to. New to the area? Call and tell them you want to see if it is available in your area. The operator answers the phone sometimes, then that is the last person you will speak to. Don't bother to leave a message. This company has a monopoly in many places and should be investigated. If they were a landline phone company they would have been shut down by regulators long ago.

Ok, I haven't had a problem with Troy Cable until literally this month when I received the bill. I was charged an extra 35 dollars for calling to get my router fixed that was chewed up by some animal. Something completely out of my control, and I was charged for it. If Troy Cable wasn't required from my landlord, I would never go back to them again.

They have lines running 1/4 mile from my home and, though they got $26 MILLION PLUS in stimulus money, they can't seem to run a line to my house. I live about 10 miles from troy on a paved county road with county water, landline phone, etc...

From what I have heard about their outages I'm not sure now I want it anyway. I just wonder where they did with the money If they can't string a line 1/4 mile from existing lines with part of the $26 MILLION+.

From what customers have told me and the reviews I read about this company I suggest potential customers stay away.

I literally hate Troy Cable, and they can forget keeping me as a customer. I am charged 130 a month for cable with DVR and wireless internet. I can live without internet at home. Pretty sure I can find cheaper cable as well. Got HOUNDED to switch (I was a FAITHFUL Charter customer) to Troy Cable for YEARS. Cobridge came in and was horrible, and Knowledgy was a figment of my imagination, so I final...ly caved and became a Troy Cablevision customer. Definitely have had some trouble meeting that bill a time or two. As I speak, I owe them money. This might not be the situation for everyone, but for me $130 is A LOT of money. I got the same with charter for HALF of the price. I have NEVER in my life paid so MUCH for so LITTLE in return. Internet goes out all of the time. The homeade, pathetic attempts at professional commercials are so ridiculous I don't even know what to say. A donkey with some middle aged man's mouth singing about Chevy's is not humorous, it's insulting. An insurance commercial series with some primadonna man pretending to be 10 different people is.....something. If I hear the theme song to Green Acres one more time I think I'm going to be sick.....Sick and tired of all of it. So, it's either Dish or reading even more. either of which, really, is fine with me. It must be so nice to have almost literally a monopoly in a market, charge an arm and a leg for it,, provide virtually no customer service and then, to add insult, TOUT your belief in business being about "relationships". The only relationship Troy Cablevision is concerned with is the one it has with my wallet
