Had a minor roof repair needed. Called Troutman Roofing after 4 other no shows. Bobby couldn't have been any more helpful for such a small job. Very reasonable price. Would not hesitate to use them when we need a new roof.

Robert Neilson & Co were hired to install a skylight where a chimney was removed. They placed the skylight incorrectly over the main joist of the roof. This was done without even first looking into the attic to check out the structure. After an engineer advised that the skylight needed to be moved lower, they became defensive and tried making excuses for their mistake. Finally Robert agreed to move it after the master carpenter showed him where it needed to be placed. However, after the carpenter framed out the interior, Robert never showed up to move it as he had agreed.

Throughout this ordeal, the owners of Troutman Roofing, Robert and Bobby Neilson, have been unprofessional, negligent, and obviously incompetent. I finally hired a competent roofer to clean up their mess, and it was costly. My best advice is to steer clear of Robert Neilson's Company. As we say in Texas, "He's all hat and no cattle"!
