Bachi's Restaurant & Pizza Lounge

On July 15, 2016 we arrived there at 6:15 p.m. We knew it would be busy because of the show at the Warner Theater but was assured that we would make the 8:00 p.m show. The waitress took our order of shrimp scampi and a meatball grinder at 6:30 which neither one takes a long time to make. After repeated attempts to find out why our food had not arrived we were told over and over again that it was coming. At 7:55 we had not even received the salad. My daughter talked to the manager and she said she would comp the drinks (one glass of wine and a soda). My daughter who in the past had waitressed said that was not acceptable. After much discussion the owner agreed to comp the entire meal which was to picked up after the concert which ended at 10:30. Needless to say we were both starving and dinner was a candy bar. This was a late Mother's Day present for me and my daughter was upset. Worse experience and would not recommend to anyone.

We'd ordered from them for delivery 3x in the past to Harwinton (borders Torrington). My husband's commute home from work on Weds (from MA) was 2.5 hours due to the rough weather we had. I placed an order for delivery at 9.50pm (website said kitchen open til 11pm), at 10.20pm we received a call saying the food was ready to pick up!! My husband told them we'd ordered for delivery and was told kitchen closed at 10 and we don't deliver to Harwinton! So out he went again after his long commute to pick up our food. It was mediocre at best and unfortunately he had to take the next 2 days off of work due to food poisoning (we narrowed it down to the broccoli rabe and sausage as he's the only one who ate that). I called there Thursday afternoon and spoke to a manager (Amanda) who sounded like she was 16! I explained the situation and she said she'd get back to me! She called several hours later telling me her boss told her they weren't taking responsibility as no one ever gets sick from their food, and that they always use the freshest ingredients!! I told her we were looking for a full refund of the $37 we'd paid, which obviously didn't include the loss of wages my husband incurred from 2 days out of work (he's a commissioned employee). They refused to refund the $37, and needless to say my husband was throwing up for 2 days straight!

I would never order from there again, I'm so disgusted with the attitude that it wasn't their fault! If they'd at least refunded the money we spent I wouldn't have felt compelled to write a negative review, however it was the dismissal of our experience that bothered me more than anything!

If I had the option to give 0 stars I would, in my open 1 was 1 too many!

I used to live their food when they were at too of hill. Ordered almost once a week. But not anymore. Last four times I ordered the food took over an hour and was GROSS. Never got my order right. The final straw was ordering am Italian trio dinner and it tasted ten years old. It actually tasted like old mold. They wouldn't even refund. Told I could get a new dinner. Why would I want MORE spoiled food. Avoid this overpriced mold hole place at ALL COSTS

If u want to b ripped off and wait hours for bad food then go here! I will never go to bachi's again, my family and i went for dinner and waited 1 hour for drinks!!! Our food came out one plate at a time instead of the whole table at one time, i ordered ribeye steak medium rare, what i got was a serlion steak well done cut to look like a ribeye, was tough and dry, when i sent it back my next serlion shaped fake ribeye came out after my entire family was done eating and was yet again well done. I ordered a margarita, it came out w the second steak w sugar on the rim instead of salt, when i told the waitress she did not believe me and swiped her finger across the top of my glass to taste the sugar! If u want fo waste ur money at a place that has an imcompetent staff go here!

The food was so delicious, I couldn't be happier! The pizza was so delicious, my nature family was pleased with their individual orders. I also find the owner to be a very friendly guy :)

If you want to drink with girls 20 and under this is the place for you. What happen to 21 and up ? This is the place for pedifiles. Including bachi
