Legacy Community Arts Center Inc

LEGACY Arts Center offers art classes to students of all ages and all levels of experience. Classes are small and often friendships develop while artwork is being created. Great place if you're new to town or transitioning to an empty nest, retirement, etc. Great for kids who excel at art not sports or kids who don't have art in their school curriculum anymore.

The center also participates in First Friday Art Walk when all participating Topeka galleries are open from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm on the first Friday of each month when artwork is displayed and refreshments are served.

This is a FUN place. The tables are covered with paper and art supplies are available for anyone student or visitor to add to the drawings on the paper. This place lets you get messy. In fact you can go to the center during open studio hours and work on art or craft projects; bring a kid along and work together then leave the glitter and glue on the floor instead of in your house for you to clean up, bring a date and make something for each other--very sweet and romantic, have a group get together and play at art. The good news is that classes are year-round and you can start at any time and any level and with any 2-D media you want to try. You can try it out for one time and not be committed financially for a series of classes which is the way most art classes are run.

It's very personal, individualized art instruction and did I say it's fun!!!!!!
