Slow food and rude manager ruined it..Id gove it one the red haired woatress was sweet.
Love the counter in Studio City so I was excited to try one closer to me. Brought a co- worker today for her first Counter experience and my first time at Toluca Lake and can honestly say I had the Worst and most Embarssing lunch experience thanks to April the manager..I am so livid..
Validated parking at 119
Ordered at 130. One burger, one turkey burger a drink and 50/50 fries.
Got the fries and drink fast and that was great..
By 2:00 we and the table next to us noticed no burgers yet. So I asked the waitress (figured 30 minutes was very fair and I know turkey takes a bit longer) and she was apologetic. She came out stew minutes later an said. "I found your burgers" . The problem was the burgers were ice cold. Who likes cold turkey burgers or hamburger.for an $11 burger you want warm and mouth watering. For cold and dry I'd go to Mc Donald's..
Called the manager APRIL and explained they were 30 plus minutes and cold.at first she was professional and offered to rush us new burgers or to go. After fifty minutes we had to go back to work and our parking validation was going to expire. We said no thank you and said to please take them off the bill and we can pay for the 50/50 and drink. We were very kind. April at first said ill take care of the tab and waked away. We were not sure if that meant the who thing or the burgers so we sat. April came back from the kitchen and brought out the burgers.
She said "how long did you sit and watch these for? what? Shock
She broke the burgers up, put her fingers in themI'm front of the two tables next to us and said " because they were still warm in the middle" . We felt like we were being accused , humiliated, embarrassed, you name it. I know the majority of the Toluca Lake clients have money, but we are teachers where $11 for a burger should be a good burger. If we wanted cold, dry and un edible I'd go to fast food. April was so unprofessional and embarrassed and made me feel degraded and upset..
I will go back to the Studio City location but never Toluca Lake as this was so rude and unprofessional ...

I really like the make your own burger format although its easy to be overwhelmed by the number of choices. The burgers themselves are great so it's your own fault if you end up with a dud.
