Worst Hospice in the area. I deal with many in the NW Ohio area. The nursing home my parent was in (Lutheran Home Napoleon) suggested they receive great service from this group. I have never seen such an incompetent group of people. Every time I would call and ask a question or have a complaint, I would receive the same speech " we are in a transitional phase right now". Ok how does this affect me, the paying customer whose parent is waiting 2 days for a pain medicine the nursing home had readily available but just decided not to give them because they were not certain how medicare would pay for this. What? For goodness sake I would pay cash for it to help my parent get out of pain. They had a chaplain show up at the room and appeared at the funeral, he appeared to be a good man. The actual nurse caring for parent efficiently ordered high enough med doses to put them to sleep quickly, after first med snafu tried to get meds there quicker. Strange thing is never received a single follow up call from the company after the death to ask if anything was needed. Only the call from the nursing home nurse saying " your parent died". Company said the nurse arrived at the nursing home an hr or so after the death, but the body and family were gone by then. Ok..pick up a phone and ask if anything was needed. I was told the nurse did call but had a "rough night" the previous night and may not have gotten her nurses notes right. Could go on and on....few words of advice...Avoid them like the plague!
