Ives Run Campground

Ive stayed two separate years for a family reunion. First we stayed in pine area which was beautiful and quiet. You have a long walk to the beach and picnic area but very beautiful and low cost jon electric. The bathrooms were the worst. It smelled as if they pumped yearly and non flushing which is great if its clean but this made me and most of my female members want to vomit. FLIES were everywhere as you were taking care of businessm Yes I understand were camping but its a state propery we just cant pop it down anywhere! Anyway we were so grossed out we stayed in the electric area the following year twice the price not as scenic or private but close walk to the boat launch beach and yes real restrooms that were decent.we were told it was lakeside but no unlike pine we wantedbto walkbout feom twnt and fish and be right there. Wonderful amenities the pavilion was rented nice swimming fishing overall great. WELL we rented 5 campsites plus pavilion and a ranger stopped us to tell us that too many people were at one sight before curfew. He didnt hear our music or chatter we werent loud but it was close to quiet timeand we couldnt be in one area although other campsites were clearly loud and partying from afar. So our family split up went back to our sights. After 10 nobody came by at all. My family is considering the reunion again next year but in pine quiet beautiful far away feom amenities but most of us will not deal with the restrooms. Overall great but im not sure this is the place for a family trying to visit and be cleansly! I mean we should be less concerned about the flies at our privates after all were camping!
