Coastal Plain Station, a part of The University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, has been operational since 1919. It is an experiment station that operates in Delaware and Texas. The station includes various research farms in southern Georgia. Founded in 1859, The University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences operates campuses in Athens, Griffin and Tifton in Georgia. It has a staff of over 1,500 individuals and operates entomology, plant pathology, poultry science, and biological and agricultural engineering departments. The university provides academic programs in science, biotechnology and engineering. The University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences offers bachelor s and master s degree courses.
