Overall

I am surprised to see the negative reviews as well. We have furnished nearly our entire house through McNabb and Risley. We have worked with one of their designers which is part of the package when you purchase from them. He has driven up to our house countless times and we live over an hour away. We have three very active and young boys who use our furniture and it has held up beautifully! The language on the sales slip is plain as day, and you have to initial by any special statements, so to say that they sneak it in as they are rushing your sale is ridiculous. Best thing about Mcnabb and Risley is their beautiful selection. I have had several people compliment my home and how gorgeous everything looks. I highly recommend M&R!

Wonderful Furniture

I too was surprised to see negative reviews, but then satisfied customers often don't think to write. We have a houseful of furniture bought over the years, going back at least 10 years. We are very pleased with how well our furniture has worn. We have replaced very few items, and that was a matter of up-dating. The service was excellent; they even came out to the house to help choose furniture sizes and arrangements. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. When my mother moved to assisted living, they were more than happy to help choose pieces to go with existing furniture, where as other stores refused to do so. I recommend this store!

I was looking up McNabb and Ri...

I was looking up McNabb and Risley's phone number and I was sad to see only negative remarks, so I created an account on YP just so I can make a comment here. I love McNabb and Risley! They are one of just a handful of nice furniture shops in the Milwaukee area. They have real wood furniture and a beautiful selection of upholstered items. They also have a great range of products from reasonably priced to very high end. They have an unbelievable amount of fabric to choose from, or you can customize with an even higher end fabric if you'd like. My only suggestion to McNabb is to allow you to take pictures of the items you like. In today's age of the cell phone, it's a tremendously helpful tool for envisioning how these items will look in your own home, without doing this, it makes purchasing more difficult.

Overall
lack of integrity

I ordered furniture and it arrived in 5 weeks. When I returned to the store the day after delivery I noticed that the pieces I had ordered were not on the showroom floor. I asked a salesperson if I received the showroom pieces. She said,"no there was a problem with the couch and it was returned to the factory." When I asked where the other pieces were I was told that the items were in the back. I met with the manager doubting what I was told. I asked to see the other pieces in the back and he told me that all of the pieces were returned to the factory. A short while later he returned with the invoices. On each invoice a date was stamped on it - the same date on each invoice. He told me that this was the day that the furniture arrived and in fact he assisted in taking the pieces out of the crates. Interesting that pieces from different manufactures all arrived on the same day. I had conversations with three team members from this store and each was comfortable with dishonesty. I did not have a problem with receiving pieces from the showroom floor. The problem was the lack of integrity that existed when I asked some questions. It was amazing how the dishonest statments came so easily - clearly this group is experienced with dishonesty. I have shared this experience with others in the Mequon area and have found that my experience at McNabb was not unique. p zadra

Overall
Very disappointed

After a long search for furniture we decided to buy our new couch and 2 chairs from Mcnabb. After stressing that we have 2 kids and want durability, we ordered our furniture and received it 4 weeks late. (This was after waiting 9 weeks) It has been 1 year and the couch fabric is pilling and wearing more than normal. When we talked with Mcnabb they said that we signed a statement saying they were not responsible for worn fabric. This is in small print on the sales slip that they have you sign while they are rushing your order and processing your credit card. The chairs are squeaking when moved and a black line is forming on one of the chairs where 2 pcs of wood meet. Again this is normal wear and tear.

Be careful if you buy from them, their furniture is cheaply made and they do not stand behind anything.
