Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries community homes are Medicaid-supported homes that serve between six and eight individuals with developmental disabilities. The emphasis is upon active treatment designed to help the individual become more independent. These services are provided in a normal home environment. Residents in these homes receive training in activities of daily living to prepare them for independent living or participation in a less restrictive environment. In addition to these residential services, Evergreen is provides supported living, family support, respite care, personal care attendant services, crisis intervention and a variety of vocational programs emphasizing supported employment. Headquartered in Bossier City, La., Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries is a nonprofit organization that employs nearly 105 people.
