Located in Tewksbury, Mash., Centerpoint is a15-plus-bed facility that offers a variety of psychiatric care services for individuals with mental illnesses and behavior problems. It employs nurses, psychologist, social workers, counselors and teachers. The facility provides individual, family and group therapies, as well as offers treatment and nursing assistance services. Operational for more than 20 years, it offers social skills training and prevocational services. Centerpoint organizes various recreational activities, including trips to libraries, shopping malls and entertainment facilities. It is accredited by The Joint Commision. Centerpoint is a part of Justice Resource Institute, which manages a range of mental health clinics and residential schools for youth with behavior and developmental disabilities.
