Sycamore Place Apartments

LIke the other review says, not the worst place, but I definitely will not be renewing my lease here. Extremely overpriced for the small, cramped, and out dated apartments that they have. The parking options are measly. The approval process for a new roommate or a pet is ridiculously long, it takes months. Make sure to put your application in months in advance because thats how long it will take to receive approval for literally anything. The staff is also very rude, so keep interaction with them to an absolute minimum. Tenants are also extremely loud and the walls are paper thin and don't bother complaining to management about it because they will just try to set up a time for you and the noisy tenants to talk face to face which is an idea just setting you up for harassment and is a way for them to not have to deal with the problem themselves. Also if someone makes a mess around the outside of your apartment, such as throws up, it is your responsibility to clean it up because management won't do it and they'll fine you if you don't. The washer and dryers they provide in the laundry mats (there are not any washer/dryer hookups in most apartments) barely dry your clothes even after multiple attempts so get ready to wear damp clothes. I know it's close to campus but do yourself a favor and just look for someplace else.

It's not the worst place to live...but it's definitely not the best. Bad managers, bad rental - pet - maintenance policies, VERY noisy with neighbors and the daily trains. Poor parking and towing practices - very uneven who does and does not get towed. Seems over priced, given location and defaults I think they are taking poor college students with little available options for all they can get.



On the plus side....they may or may not return some of your deposit...
