General Info: Located in Tehachapi, Calif., Golden Hills Elementary School offers academic programs to more than 900 students in grades kindergarten through six. Its curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, reading and writing, science, social studies and language arts. The school provides a variety of special programs that include Title I, speech, band, chorus and intramural activities. Golden Hills Elementary School offers physical education, music and keyboarding lessons to students. Its parent-teacher association organizes various educationally centered community events, including an international night, science fair, scholastic book fair and family reading night. Golden Hills Elementary School offers access to the Internet in every classroom and has various fully-equipped computer labs. The school s library has a collection of more than 12,000 books, movies and various research materials. It also offers over 4,000 accelerated readers tests.
