Fairway Oaks Center

My elderly aunt is a patient & is upset by the lack of leadership. The antibiotics don't work & give her diarrhea but the staff gives her stool softeners & routinely forgets her prescribed blood thinners & other meds! The few good nurses say don't drink milk with this antibiotic but the staff brings milk everyday! I know some citrus juices counteract some meds but my aunt (who is still very sharp) is getting no other details reguarding do's & don'ts mixing meds & foods. It often takes over an hour to get a call response when the nurses are laughing & playing video games, some staff complain & make her feel guilty, & she's had three CNA's thrown off her floor due to very rough handling! Is there no Doctor supervising distribution of meds? Is this a free-for-all or a planned strategy to keep patients from getting well in order to bleed bank accounts dry? Dumb strategy when you consider that Florida has an endless supply of elderly money makers, so you'ld think you'ld want a good review.

My family wasn't quite sure how Dad would handle being in a nursing home after he had hip surgery, but Fairway provided everything he needed. The nursing staff eased our fears and Dad enjoyed all the activities, especially going to the Casino! I would reccomend Fariway's rehab services to anyone seeking a smooth rehab for a loved one.

Highly reccomend. My mother fell at her assisted living facility and after surgery went to Fairway Oaks because the nurse at her ALF recommended them. Their customer service was outstanding and their therapy department did wonders with my mom. She was more balanced and strong than before her fall and surgery. My family and I would like to thank everyone at Fairway Oaks for their spectacular care and compassion.
