Tallmadge Tire & Service Center

I just put a review on Google Review and on the BBB. I don't usually write reviews and I have to because of the poor level of service that I saw. I just wish that I had taken the time to read reviews about this company and I would have never stopped. My review is too long for YP check it out on BBB or google reviews.

Tallmadge Tire & Service is the worst auto shop I've ever been to in my life. Highly unsatisfied. Not only do they repeatedly leave trash, dirty rags and dirt piles on sensitive equipment, but they also take the liberty of breaking things that weren't broken prior to bringing the car in. They accuse you of lying about this and take no responsibility for their wrongdoings. Several times they have misdiagnosed the simplest of problems landing me with extra costs. The last time I was there, oops, they forgot to turn the power steering back on and I almost drove off the lot with no power steering, all the while, constantly giving me attitude. The worst service, or should I say, dis-service, I've ever received at a car shop. I've communicated and given them several opportunities to correct their mistakes, but they have shown me that they have no desire or ability to operate as a decent business. I will absolutely never be going back.

DO NOT USE Tallmadge Tire & Service Center!!! We had our vehicle towed there to replace a starter that gave out on us. We received a call informing us they replaced the starter but our check engine light was on and asked if it was on before they serviced the vehicle. NO the check engine light was not before they touched it. We were told they will look into the problem. Several hours later they called back letting us know they fixed the check engine light issue; we can pick up our vehicle. As soon as we picked it up, the check engine light was on AND the temp gauge spiked into the red. Well, they proceeded to tell us this was all do to a faulty temperature sending unit. SO WHY DID YOU TELL US YOU FIXED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ISSUE AND WHY DIDN’T YOU MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT THE TEMP GAUGE ON THE PHONE???!!!! All they’ve done was cleared the code hoping we wouldn’t notice. They told us they had nothing to do with it, they were not working anywhere near the location of the temperature sending unit, these things just happen. FALSE!!!! We took it to another shop (Steve’s Auto Service in Cuyahoga Falls – highly recommended) they discovered that whoever replaced the starter DID NOT plug the temperature sending unit back in, it was left unplugged causing the check engine light and temp gauge issues. Tallmadge Tire & Service Center SHOULD NOT be trusted as they have no idea what they are doing!!! The front desk personnel TIM was full of excuses and blames everything else but the mechanics own incompetence. PLEASE take your vehicles somewhere else and save yourself a boat load of time from these Backyard mechanics.

Absolutely disgusted with their service and staff. Don't even think about getting your tires swapped here. Their machines scratched my wheels to hell and once pointed out, they claimed it was there before I came! Even with before and after photo evidence! The manager is absolute garbage. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

FAIR PRICES, GREAT service! I have been going to Tallmadge Tire for 30 plus years and am always satisfied. They have the best prices in town and great customer service. I don't know what the other review is talking about...this is a good family owned, local business that knows how to treat customers. I've always brought my cars here and always will.

Unless you like to be on the receiving end of bait & switch, do not buy tires or repair service from Tallmadge Tire. I got a quote over the phone, then the cost of the tires was higher when I had them installed. There was a problem immediately with the way the vehicle was handling, but they drove it and said there was nothing wrong. When i brought it back AGAIN, they agreed to replace the front two tires...but then only replaced one and moved it to the back of the car (they couldn't explain why). They offer an oil change and the 'free' tire rotation for around $30.00 but they failed to rotate my tires...TWICE. My recommendation to ANYONE, is to avoid using Tallmadge Tire.
