Covenant Care

Stunned by the lack of professionalism and the insensitivity we experienced with Covenant. Within days of her admission, she was so over medicated that she could not open her eyes - she mumbled to me "I don't feel like I'm human".. She was restrained by being tied into a wheelchair at Covenant's direction. Several of her children have been totally excluded from Covenant's admission, care plan, changes in status, requests to speak to the nurse and to meet with the Doctor. Phone calls are ignored, so it is one big mystery. This at a time when we are grieving the steady loss of our mother. Your organization, perhaps a more fitting word than hospice, should take some lessons from Big Bend Hospice.
