FREDS TRANSMISSION WORLD

I was shopping with my kids and my truck was driving funny. I pulled into Fred's Transmission and met Howard. It was 5:40 and the shop closed at 6. They ran tests on my truck and told me the problems, arranged for a rent-a-car, which he paid 1 out of the 3 days, and I was on my way home by 6:40. Howard kept in contact with me regarding $$ and issues. He was professional and kind. I was lucky to have broken down right by his shop. Howard & his staff are true gentlemen.

I have a 2003 ford taurus which was slipping & banging in every gear. I went to the dealer and they told me that it will cost me a minimum of $2500 plus incidentals to fix the problem. After that, I decided to bring my car to one of the largest chains in NY. After scanning the car, told me it would cost me $800 to pull out the tranny to give me a price to rebuild. On the internet, I came across Freds Transmission World & saw that they do the work for BOCES and 29 school districts. The employees at Freds were very friendly and they wanted to re-scan my car. The problem they found was that I had a faulty speed sensor. They charged me $69.00 to fix it & now my car drives like a dream!! In this day & age of hard times, it is a pleasure to find honest people.
