General Info: Fenton Avenue Elementary Charter School, located in Lake View Terrace, Calif., is a part of Los Angeles Unified School District. Founded in 1958, it enrolls more than 1,400 students in grades kindergarten through five. It prepares students through a flexible education system, which begins their development into well-rounded adults, able to contribute to the community. The school keeps abreast of new technology and the expanding knowledge base and is a technologically advanced school with more than 900 computers. The subjects cover various curricular areas, including English, mathematics, social science, science, health and physical education, music and art. Fenton Avenue Elementary Charter School encourages all students to participate in extracurricular activities, such as its band, student council and sports, such as basketball, volleyball and softball.
