James Moseley Contractor

James Moseley (Jim Moseley) was hired in February 2024 to put flooring down, paint cabinets and a bathroom in my home. He began work around 2/19/2024 and completed the work around 2/29/2024. He was to do flooring in 4 rooms, a hallway and a closet. The work was completed, however there are areas of trim that were not done correctly and he will not come repair the work. His employee did all the work, and he painted the bathroom mirror and got paint all over the mirror and never fixed it. He hired someone who would bring his girlfriend without permission under the guise that she was cleaning in the home. She didnt have permission to be there. Around 2/26, I found out that he had been allowing his employee and his girlfriend to sleep in my home, shower in my home, and do laundry in my home. All without my permission. They stayed in my home for a minimum of 4 nights. His employee had a gun on him the whole time and Mr. Moseley pressured him to work late into the night. His employee ran the power bill up and the water bill up by staying at my home and using my water. Two days in row they used over 2000 gallons of water in one day, and three other times over 1000 gallons in a day. They also turned the thermostat to temperatures that ran up the power bill. When I confronted Mr. Moseley, he reported that he regularly lets his employees stay in vacant homes and doesn't see a problem with it. Mr. Moseley's son and one of his other employees got into a verbal argument that almost turned physical, where my mom could have been hurt and Mr. Moseley had to break it up. The entire situation was stressful and caused a lot of distress for me, as later I found out his employees had drug problems, and I am unsure that they had any substances on them while at my home, however their behavior was concerning.

Do not hire. Started off doing decent work but kept asking for more money wanted money upfront then things not finished when I refused to pay last amount until work was completed and completed correctly never came back and no attempt to fix things. Having to pay large amount of money to fix what should have been done.
