Dental Examination
Prevention is key when it comes to your oral and dental health. The best way to prevent problems from developing or getting worse is to come in for routine dental care. This care involves a comprehensive examination performed by our dentist and a cleaning that is done by a registered dental hygienist. Combined, these two treatments help us to provide you with quality care to keep your smile healthy, bright and full.
X-rays
Most patients can and should have dental x-rays taken. The benefits of x-rays far outweigh any possible risks that could be involved. In fact, we recommend x-rays on pediatric as well as adult patients. We will always review your health and medical history to determine if it is safe for you to undergo radiation in our office.

Teeth Cleaning
A scaling and root planing is a type of deep dental cleaning that removes plaque, tartar and debris from below the gum line. For patients who have gum disease, small pockets will form around the teeth as a result of the condition. It can be nearly impossible to clean out these pockets on your own, which is why a scaling and root planing is so beneficial. The cleaning is performed by a dental hygienist who will clear out these gingival pockets to prevent the disease from progressing.
Fluoride Treatment
Fluoride treatments are designed to protect your teeth and prevent instances of tooth decay. While tooth decay is often associated with poor oral hygiene and bad eating habits, some patients are simply more susceptible to it developing. For this reason, we can apply a liquid fluoride varnish to the teeth in order to protect them. Fluoride treatments are especially beneficial to children, but they can be just as advantageous to our adult patients as well.
Dental Sealants
Dental sealants are protective coatings that can be applied to the back teeth. This clear varnish helps to fill in the deep grooves and ridges on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. As a result, these areas are protected against tooth decay until the time the sealant wears off. Most sealants can last for about one to three years, and they can be reapplied as often as needed.

Fillings
Resin Composite
Bonding is a cosmetic procedure that is specifically done to enhance your smile. Bonding uses composite resin tooth-colored material to effective fill in gaps, spaces and chipped areas on your front teeth. Bonding is minimally invasive, and many of our patients won’t even need local anesthetic in order to place the material. Your new bonding can easily last for roughly 10 or more years before it should be replaced.
Veneers
Porcelain veneers can cover up a wide range of different imperfections at the front of your smile. They are durable and long-lasting, with most veneers lasting for 10 or more years before needing to be replaced. Veneers can be used to cover teeth that are stained, dull, yellowed, discolored, cracked, chipped or unevenly spaced. This simple, yet effective cosmetic option can transform your look in a matter of just two visits.
Crowns
Dental crowns are designed to cover damaged or compromised teeth while simultaneously enhancing your smile. They are made of natural-looking and durable materials, like porcelain and ceramic, and are meant to last for many years. You may need a crown if a tooth has broken, cracked or has recently been root canaled. We even offer same-day CEREC crowns that prevent the need for a second visit just to place the permanent crown.
Bridges
Dental bridges are common restorations that are designed to replace missing teeth. If you’re completely missing a tooth, you might feel self-conscious over your appearance. Over time, the surrounding teeth may even begin to shift and look misaligned and crowded. In order to restore your smile, we will make a customized dental bridge to fit over the surrounding teeth and replace what is missing.
Dental Bonding
Because dental bonding is a minimally invasive procedure, it is often a great choice for many of our patients. Bonding is most often applied to the front teeth, and your smile should be otherwise healthy enough to have the material placed. Most patients who want or need bonding can easily sit for the procedure. Older bonding can and should be replaced as soon as it begins to look worn or damaged.
Restorative Dentistry

Root Canal Treatment
A root canal involves taking out the pulp from the inside of a compromised or damaged tooth. The pulp is responsible for keeping the tooth healthy and vital with its rich supply of blood vessels and nerves. Unfortunately, when this pulp becomes compromised by tooth decay or exposed through a crack in the tooth, it will need to be removed. Teeth that require a root canal may be severely painful, sensitive and tender when pressure is applied to the area.

Dentures
For patients who are missing many or all of their teeth, it can be difficult to eat, chew and even speak. You might be looking for a way to enhance your smile and replace the teeth that you’re currently missing. One way to accomplish this is by utilizing either a full or partial denture. The denture is designed to replace the teeth you’re missing while lasting for several years.
Overdentures
A dental implant can be used to replace one or more missing teeth within the mouth. Rather than compromise surrounding teeth or having to wear a removable prosthetic appliance, an implant works on its own to replace what you’re currently missing. Implants are often made of titanium, and the rod of the implant is embedded deep into the jawbone. Over time, the implant bonds with the bone through a process known as osseointegration. Once healed, a crown, fixed dental bridge or complete overdenture can be made to sit over the implant.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
You may need to have x-rays taken before oral surgery so that we can check for any problems that could present while the procedure is being done. We often take a full set of x-rays every few years and on new patients coming into the office for the first time. X-rays are typically necessary before, during or even after a root canal has been performed. The process to take x-rays is easy, quick and safe for most patients.
Tooth Extractions
Extractions help to remove problematic teeth that would otherwise compromise your oral health. These teeth might have become severely decayed, broken or are impacted and need to be removed. While we do everything in our power to preserve your natural teeth, there may come a time when one or more teeth is beyond the point of being saved. When this happens, we work to comfortably extract the tooth in our office at your convenience.
Bone Grafting
Implants rely on solid underlying bone to heal properly. For patients who have areas of bone loss, a bone grafting may be needed before an implant can be placed. To determine if you have enough bone in the area the implant is needed, we will take special x-rays to get a look at the entire jaw. Most people who want implants can safely and successfully have them placed through surgery.

Invisalign Orthodontics
Invisalign has long been used to correct a variety of orthodontic problems. These clear aligner trays are ideal for applying pressure to the teeth so that they straighten and become more aligned. Clear aligners are ideal for patients of all ages. In fact, many adults are beginning to consider orthodontic treatment thanks to the advancement of Invisalign technology.

Whitening is an effective way of lifting stains and deep enamel discoloration that is causing your smile to look dull. Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Escabi was born in New York and moved to Puerto Rico when she was seven years old. She attended the University of Puerto Rico for her undergraduate degree. Although she loved her native Puerto Rico she wanted to spend time in a big city. She was elated to discover that she was accepted to New York University School of Dentistry. It was here she achieved her dreams of big city living and also met her future husband, our own Dr. Paul Garcia. Dr Escabi completed a General Practice Residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn in 1996. Following residency she relocated to Miami and spent three years working in private practice. In 1999 we were fortunate to have Dr. Escabi join our team. She specializes in cosmetic dentistry and has extensive experience and training with simple and complex root canals. Dr. Escabi has established herself as a focal point in the community and continues to volunteer and give back. She is a member of and contributes to Compassion, His house home for kids, A21 Fight against human trafficking, and St Jude Children’s hospital. Dr Escabi spends much of her time with her family and friends, and is the proud mother of two children both attending the University of Florida.
General Dentistry
Dr. Maeso was born in Puerto Rico. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with both his undergraduate and Dental Degrees. After completing dental school, he moved to New York City where he continued his training in a two year Advanced Educational General Dentistry program at Columbia Presbyterian. He remained in New York after completing his studies and spent a year in a private practice. In 1996, he married his wife Rutsie, also a dentist, and together they moved to Florida. Dr. Maeso joined our practice in 2005. He has an unbelievable memory and can recall stories from each of his patients. Dr Maeso particularly loves to work in cosmetic, restorative and removable dentistry. He has an infectious laugh and has a wonderful sense of humor. In his free time he enjoys doing word scrambles and spending time with family, friends, and his three dogs. Dr. Maeso has two children who are both currently in college at FIU. He is very close with his extended family and constantly has members staying with him. His wife is an incredible cook and likely the reason all his family always chooses to stay with him. Whenever it rains he runs to the store hoping his wife will make him his favorite dish San Cocho. Dr Maeso is always a favorite within the office, but on days where he brings his wife’s leftovers he is particularly loved. He enjoys dining out and loves to explore all different types of restaurants, but has a particular love for his native Puerto Rican cuisine. As the experiences veteran in the office he is always lending his opinion and helping out wherever he can.
