This place sucks.. they filed my tax wrong!!! gave wrong suggestions overlooking my forms.. please guys, go someplace else who can atleast spell TAX right! i'd give them negative stars if possible.. or even file a complaint if I hahve mroe time/better resources.

Folks...if you do care about your returns and expect a handsome refunds from Federal and State agencies, then think twice before heading to Tax Champion. These are indeed Tax Jokers or Tax Screwers as promptly pointed out in other reviews.



First of all, Lalitha is just an MBA and is NOT A qualified CPA (based on her profile on http://www.taxchampion.com/management.html). I was in the Company Secretary profession back in India and I know what it takes to complete professional courses like CPA, ACA or ICWA or ACS. MS in Finance is equivalent to M.Com course in India and this is what Lalitha graduated. MS in Finance is no match to CPA (in US) or ACA or ICWA. Lalitha is not qualified or experienced enough to handle taxes here in US. Period.



Lalitha at Tax Champion not only messed up my returns and my other colleagues returns (including the returns of the one who actually recommended Lalitha), but she also goofed up on the returns by showing my foreign vacation property as a US Property (when I explicitly told her that its a foreign property). How DUMB can she be? Now I will have to wait for Federal Agencies to send me a notice so I can respond with adequate reasons. I realized this only when I approached a different Tax Agent (this time I ensured he is a qualified and experienced CPA).



Also, Lalitha mentioned that I was not entitled to any refunds, and instead made me pay extra to Federal Agencies. I totally relied on her professional knowledge, experience and promptly paid this money to IRS. To my surprise and disbelief, the IRS returned the money couple of weeks back stating I paid excess taxes for 2007. The exact/same money that I initially paid to IRS along with the returns was refunded.



Another reason why this feedback is important for you - Lalitha didn't even have a clue when I asked her (sometime in June or July of last year) as to why I was not getting the Federal Tax Rebate when all other colleagues of mine where getting checks in their mail boxes. She was not only rude on the phone (in spite of me saying to her that I had my returns filed through her office) and instead had asked me to contact the IRS and figure out the reasons for not getting the Tax Rebate. Here's some education for your Lalitha - I was not getting this rebate because my dependents had ITIN/SSN starting with Number "9". Do you know what this means? We expect you to be a subject matter expert and you turned out to be a JERK.



I found another reliable tax agent for filing this year’s returns- very much here in Sunnyvale and I am happy and contended the way he worked out on my refunds and also gave ton’s of ideas and explained to me about tax saving opportunities. This is what anyone will look for in their tax agent. An agent who will represent you and defend your filing, an Agent who spends time to explain you on how we can save more and pay less taxes (legally of course). If you are looking for all or any of these, then don’t even consider Tax Champion. Even if you are one amongst the so called 3000 loyalists of Tax Champion or Lalitha (stats from her profile) - think again.



I made sure to use my lunch time today to provide this feedback - so innocent loyalists and new customers get to know what they are dealing with. Wish I could give you my contact numbers so you can hear from me directly and believe that my feedback here is not biased but truly based on facts. But due to privacy and confidentiality I am unable to provide my contact details. But let it not stop from you to adding comments to my feedback.
