Sunnyvale City Manager s Office is responsible for the day-to-day administration of city affairs and implementation of council policies. It prepares budgets for city council and recruits, hires and supervises staff of different departments. Sunnyvale City Manager s Office operates under the government of the City of Sunnyvale, Calif., which also maintains community and employment development, finance, human resources, information technology, library, and parks and recreation departments. The City of Sunnyvale additionally operates public works department that offers street maintenance, landscaping, recycling, transportation, and water supply and pollution prevention services. Its public safety department provides animal control, emergency, crime prevention, police and fire services.
