My wife doesn't usually write reviews online, so I want to thank Dr. Givens on her behalf. We've been seeing him for months now. I go to every appointment with her so I know firsthand how much he has done for her. He sits down after every appointment and goes through her list of questions. He treats every questions as important and answers them thoughtfully and respectfully. He's a great OB and I'm so glad my Sara is getting the best treatment possible!

I have gone to Low Country Women's Specialist for 6 years now and have been very unhappy with the care and attention from Dr. Hunters office. It took me a while to leave, it's only because I just hate to switch doctors. I have repeatedly experienced lack of communication from them on test results, sometimes took them over 3 months to call me back with an abnormal result. Needless to say I was very upset, all they could say was it just feel thru the cracks. Waiting time in the office is awful, had to wait over 2 hrs one visit so I got up and left, happens all the time. Dr. Hunter does not familiarize herself with your records before coming in, she basically just wants to know why you are there and then looks at records. I would not recommend going to Low Country Women's Specialist, they are lacking in attention and detail and they are very disorganized. I need to move on to a physician that I can get good customer service from. I am finding a lack of this in a lot of the SC doctors.

I have read the prior reviews and I must say that I have a voice and if I wanted to see a Doctor I spoke up and saw one. I only have one child and I wanted to see all of the providers (doctors and midwives) just in case I went into labor in the middle of the night. I did not want to be surprised-but any time I asked for a certain person I was scheduled (if the scheduled permitted). I also hoped that people would understand that a lot happens behind the scenes so if you waited out in the lobby for over 30mins you may not have known (thanks to HIPPA) that another patient was having problems or in labor and needed to be seen before you did. I am a very understanding person and I have never been to a doctors office and expected to be seen on my appt time so to me that shows either patients are being rushed out of those offices or not showing up for appts and that is what you are not seeing-BEHIND THE SCENES!!! I had to have a c-section and it was in the middle of the day-I am sure the doc who did the c-sec had patients in the office and they had to be rescheduled-do you think those patient gave a care in the world about my situation-HECK NO! I am sure people complained about that because we have become such a selfish society! I LOVED THE CARE I RECEIVED there! Everyone was kind and took the time to answer my questions and I guess because I look at the whole picture I can understand the wait time and being seen by other doctors but again I HAVE A VOICE if you do not ask for another doctor then that was your fault! I have since continued my care there as a gyn patient and if we do have another baby I will continue going! The doctor that took care of me was beyond words and very thoughtful-that made my surprise c-section easier. I felt safe with everyone that I saw as well as the staff. So many people are so negative now a days that is why I wanted to share my opinnion-GOOD JOB LOWCOUNTRY WOMEN'S SPECIALISTS!!!!
