Enrique Batres, MD

Scheduled an appointment at Dr. Batres's office and was turned away because the lady at the front desk looked at my card and said oh, we dont take this.I was very confused because I had made the appointment through my insurance provider website. I explained this to her but she was unwilling to look into it.She simply dismissed me. When I called my insurance to understand why I had been turned away they were also confused because this office does indeed take my insurance. When I called to speak to the lady about why this happened I got the nurse and I guess the nurse didn't want her friend to get into trouble so she refused to help me. I guess office friends are more important than customer care. What should have happened was an apology. Then someone should have taken all of my insurance information down and let me know they were going to get to the bottom of this.I definitely felt like less than a number to them. No care. Meanwhile my son is suffering from painful plaque psoriasis

I first went to Kelsey Seybold to go see Dr. Enrique Batres, Dermatologist. I got in with an no wait time at all and Dr. Batres was very comforting and gentle. I needed to get something removed, so I had to come back another day for a procedure. I scheduled an appointment with Kelly one of the nurses, before I left that day. The earliest appointment was for June 14. With such a gap in time I needed a call back to remind me. I NEVER got a call back and I requested that day off with work. I called Kelsey Seybold that morning and they told me that I never had an appointment scheduled. I already requested off from work and thats not easy to do in the first place! The operator was able to squeeze me in that day but couldn't guarantee that I would have the procedure done. Ugh!!! I was prepared mentally to get something removed off my forehead. When I got to Kelsey Seybold I express concern to the front desk lady and she had NO sympathy what's so ever. She told me that I couldn't have my procedure done and that I need to come back another day. She sent me in the back to go talk to Sam (African American women) who had a major attitude with me and was very snippy and snarky toward me and the situation. I wasn't the one who didn't make my appointment properly that's KSeybolds fault. I now have a new appointment a MONTH away!!! I really like Dr. Batres but his staff is RUDE and unprofessional. Being at a doctors office isn't comforting in the first place and for staff to have attitudes with patients is unacceptable!!!
