Best Ramen! I love the spicy chicken ramen and the spicy mayo shrimp! They have a good menu selection that is reasonably priced!

I love tonkotsu ramen and I've tried many of the popular tonkotsu ramen places in LA and if you like other ramen places like Daikokuya, Yamadaya, Santouka, or Shinsengumi, I would recommend checking out Jinya if you're in the area.

I have been here several times. This place is noteworthy, though I've had a better ramen somewhere else.
I'm one of those people who thinks that 'spicy' in most restaurants in the US are not spicy at all. If you are like me, their HOT Spicy Tonkatsu is not hot at all. However, they have the Tonkatsu Red, with the level of spiciness you can pick from 1-10. It hit the spot just enough at level 7 for me (waitress informed me the Hot Spicy Tonkatsu falls somewhere around 3-4). I'll probably try 8 or 10 next time.
Tables are a bit crammed. Inside probably fits about 20 people, and outside another 10. They can get crowded at lunch and dinner time, so expect to be on the waiting list if you come at peak hours.

Tried this place today with some coworkers. We arrived at about 12:30 and were luckily seated right away (it's a pretty small restaurant and gets very busy during peak hours). Service was a little bit slow to get our orders in, but after that it was fine. Parking is easy here, there is above and underground parking.
I tried the Tonkatsu Black- which is the long-boiled pork broth with black garlic oil, chasu pork slices, a seasoned soft boiled egg, and bamboo shoots and vegetables. They give you as much fresh garlic to press into your broth, as well as the spice flakes and seasonings. You can choose between the traditional thin ramen noodles or opt for the thick noodles, which I did. The thick noodles was great for absorbing the rich flavor of the tonkatsu broth. My other coworker had the Tonkatsu Red which is perfect if you love spicy foods.
Definitely try this place if you're craving some good, REAL ramen and don't want to drive through DTLA to Little Tokyo.
