Everyone is always so pleasant. They explain everything before they do it and go out of their way to be sure that you are comfortable with the procedure.

I found the staff pleasant and easy to work with. My wait time has always been minimal, and the dental hygienists and dentists have been great for me and all my children. My kids enjoy coming here.

My son had his orthodontic work completed by Dr. Layman. The results were better than expected. My son had crowding and gapping issues. Also, I have a pretty busy schedule and the girls at the front made it a priority to remind me when he was scheduled.
On another note, Dr. Shirman is my dentist and he is extremely professional and polite. I had major work completed; crowns and molar extractions. The process of both procedures were explained to me prior to the services being completed. In addition, he followed up 24 hours later to ensure I was ok. By the way...the crown was made right at the office!! The days of getting it fitted at a later time are far gone. I have not compared their prices to others, but I am willing to pay more for friendly, professional, world class service. Thanks Dr. Shirman and Dr. Layman for keeping our smiles so beautiful!

My son had to miss an appt since he had strep throat - had to pay the 25 $ cancellation fee
this is after paying all the fees in CASH 1000 "s of dollars
second time the stafff didn't call untill my Son was on the way to the appt that he need to call his insurance company to enusre he was covered- which was a hassle since the insurance company was on a conference
when talked to office manager -she lied about calling home and leaving a message ...................would never go back wouldn't recommend to anyone

Everyone is very nice, helpful, and great with kids.
The office very clean and up to date on everything.

Layman, Shirman & Associates has been the best dentist I've ever been to. They're very accommodating, and conscientious of my concerns regarding my teeth! Been going there for over 3 years and always recommend them to friends and relatives.

Don't bother going. They are rude and impersonal. They want you to come every so often but they can't get you in on your terms. You're not taking care of your teeth if you can't make the times that they have available. I was supposed to be on a call waiting list, but they didn't call me. When my wife got me in finally, I told the lady that I hadn't been able to make it in and when she relayed the message to the dentist, he said that I was just making excuses. First time that I ever went there, I sat in the lobby for over an hour and finally walked out. They are very expensive and very into their treatment plans which they insist that you sign.

WARNING....WATCH YOUR WALLET! After making it extremely clear that I needed a firm quote prior to a few different treatments that I needed- the front office advised me that with my insurance the procedure would be under the $400 that I was able to pay. In fact, after the office worker went back to print out the payment sheet- she came back and said "looks like its even cheaper than we thought" with the payment plan showing a charge under $300, so I signed and paid the front desk on my way out the full amount. Three weeks later I received a new bill for almost $400 from them regarding the same service (On top of the money I had paid them in full on the day of the procedure). And a neighbor of mine had the same thing happen to him. Quoted one thing and charged hundreds more. It appears there is pattern of deceitfulness here. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

I am flabbergasted by the reviews posted here! I have had nothing except good experiences at their office. Sometimes I wonder if people are too judgmental and too focused on themselves. I as well have had a payment issue that needed to be resolved and the staff did everything they could to work with my financial road block. The office is a business an not a bank, there is only so much to do. Once set on a payment arrangement for work I decided to have done I was sure to never miss a payment! This was a courtesy provided to me by the office and I wanted them to know I appreciated it! The staff is very welcoming and always greats you with a smile. No other place I could think about taking my family and I refer all of my friends!' Thanks do all the phenomenal work you do!!

Stay away!!! Both of my kids use to go to here. I guess I should of realized a problem at first when they gave me an estimate on the price of braces for my son. Several months later as we were at an appointment I noticed the price due was way over what it should have been. When questioned I was told the insurance only paid x amount, but no one bothered telling me. But I continued going because I really liked the doctor and the people who worked on my son. But this last incident was the final straw. We went EVERY month, EVERY month for my sons ortho appointment. We were suppose to have a final appointment on December 26, 2011. I had talked to them in November and explained I was unemployed and I would pay the $200 on my December appointment. No problem I was told. Then on Dec 23rd I got a message that was reminding me he had an appointment on the 26th and we owed the $200.00. No problem. Then about a half hour later I got a call from a very rude person who said because we were overdue all apppointments were cancelled for all family members. OVERDUE??? The person only 1/2 hour before said everything was ok. So I called back. Got a call back on Monday from another very RUDE person saying I was overdue $20.00 from June. EXCUE ME? JUNE?? You see us every single month, every month and no one could ever say anything about being $20.00 past due. If I'm handing you $100.00, $20 more would be fine. Never ever once was it mentioned. Come to find out it was from a cleaning for him in June that insurance didn't pay. My question, why wasn't this mentioned before?? Their response, one was dental and one was ortho and the two systems don't talk unless you look. So now they informed me it went to collections....for $20 from a bill in June when you see me every month. This has happened twice. Once last year. It is stupid to run a business like that. Especially when you've already gotten over $2000 from me, now you take me to collections for $20. I'm so mad at the rudeness and lack of professionism. I have since taken my daughter to another dentist for her braces and have been very, very happy!!! Do not go here!!!!

Rude Staff, Poor Service

If there's a possibility that you may run into any bumps in the road, don't expect any flexibility from this office. I missed one Ortho payment (and I had already paid well over 1500 of the bill on time) and they turned my child away for their monthly appointment. Rude staff, poor bedside manner.
