BEWARE: Rooms are not bad, people seemed nice at first. At first! Once we got there, there was never anyone in the main office to even take payment. We had to call them and meet them in the office on THEIR time to pay them. The lady we called on the phone told us the wrong rate and they ended up charging us more. Yes, that is their rate but we were told differently. That's fine, I'll pay what I owe, but No apologies or anything, when talking to the owner, she basically told us we didn't hear them right and they never mess up. Kept telling me to look at the brochure to confirm price (because I had that brochure when I booked a reservation?) Had to find the maid to even get the owner's number because she is never there to run her business. Almost everyone in our fishing club could not find someone to pay. After telling them about my displeasure, which I explain below, the maid locks me out of the office mid sentence so I can't talk to her anymore. The whole reason I called is because they ended up charging us extra for our 9 month old and not the rate stated on the phone. Said she is just like an adult and costs extra. No one in this country charges rates for that age child that I know of. She doesn't use your toilet and sleeps in the same bed we do. Don't understand that one. They do charge extra for pets, which I can understand, but they wont tell you that till you get there. We also didnt want to check out until 2, instead of the check out time of 11, so they told us it would be $5 more an hour, we agreed to this and had no problem, however they came by before 2 and said that if we still had stuff in the room after 2, we had to pay for another hour, forcing my wife and kid to the porch until I got back from the fishing tournament a couple minutes later. Wife was all packed up, just had everything at the door. No one was going in there and the maid had plenty of other rooms to clean. If you stay here, be careful. We did not have friendly service. They did not take responsibility for their mess ups, and they will nickel and dime you, IF you can even find them to pay them. Otherwise they'll just charge your card the amount they think is right. You can always call them though!!! I understand people can say incorrect things and what not, but own up to it and apologize. All they could tell us is that we were wrong, we were trying to cheat the prices, and exact words from the owner "you can go somewhere else, but we are the cheapest around." By the end of the day, I ended up paying more than what I would at a higher end hotel, and the owner told me not to come back if I didnt like it. Not a way to do business if you ask me!
