I just wanted to relay an experience that I had at the Rural Cemetery last week. I went to visit my dad's grave in the veteran's section of the cemetery. My dad served in the Navy during WWll with the majority of his time assigned to a cruiser in the South Pacific theater.
I've been visiting my dad's gravesite for the last 25 years and never have found it unkempt, until last week. The grass around the veteran's headstone had grown to around a foot. Most of the other veteran's headstones were in the same condition. I went to the cemetery office and spoke to a young lady who told me that she would place a work order to get the grass cut. I will check on the gravesite next week. I don't know if you agency has any authority over this matter or not, but I just wanted pass this along to you. Thank you and God Bless our veterans.
