The cabinets, built in our shop, are French Sycamore and milled entirely from a single log imported from France. Kitchen countertops are silestone and the large sitting island is granite. Included in the array of species and finishes is quarter-sawn cherry cabinets in the family room, Honduran mahogany vanity in the master bathroom and painted cabinets in the living room, laundry room, mud room and remaining bathrooms.

Working with Mahoney Architects of Tiburon, Woodworking West transformed this 1960s ranch house into a timeless Mediterranean villa. A large portion of the house was de- molished to make way for the extensive foundation and new additions. The vaulted roof and cupola required steel framing for support. A bowed and arched window in the back of the house echoes the arched entrance way and frames a view of San Francisco Bay.

The wrap around deck and curved windows frame beautiful views of Bolinas Lagoon, the surrounding trees and scenic countryside. Custom woodwork on the beams, windows, cabinets, and floors, as well as a magnificent stone fireplace, give the house a wonderful farm house feel while incorporating all the modern amenities. Located in the highlands of Stinson Beach and built on a ½ acre with spectacular ocean and mountain views. This 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home, designed by James McDonald Architects with a nautical theme, is characterized by teak woodworking and casework, low maintenance copper standing seam curved roof, 15 degree angle curved top exterior window wall in master bedroom, custom teak and copper entry door, copper bar countertop and curved beam ceilings. Glass is dominant throughout with curved top ocean facing windows, etched glass stairway railing, pebble blasted glass sitting counter in kitchen and sand blasted glass bathroom doors. The kitchen includes flamed granite counter tops with teak cabinets and black glass mother of pearl backsplash with the same theme repeated in the downstairs family room bar area. Bathrooms have imported glass tile, copper and glass vanity sinks and a steam room with slate tile and custom concrete vanity. The home offers expansive outdoor living with 1,100 sq. ft. 2nd story slate deck with stainless steel cable rail and a lower bluestone patio area. Radiant heated floors are throughout and a integral sound system with independent computerized controls is in all main rooms. The automated entry gates are custom powder coated steel and teak and swing open to a concrete paved driveway and parking area.

Projects by Woodworking West have been featured in numerous design and architectural publications including Sunset Magazine, August 2006 issue, Western Interiors and Design, May/June 2005 issue, Better Homes and Gardens, October/November 2003 issue, and Marvin Windows and Doors 2003 Calendar. Woodworking West projects were also on display in the 1996 Designer s Showcase in Ross. Woodworking West is currently featured on the cover of Marvin Windows and Doors brochure.

This New England style ocean front home is located in the exclusive Seadrift community of Stinson Beach and offers a unique blend of indoor/outdoor beach lifestyle. This Stacy Ford designed home was built with tidal surge breakaway walls on the lower level. Exterior features include hardwood decks, clad Marvin windows and exterior doors and concrete paver stone driveway and parking area. The interior with its abundance of ocean facing windows captures the beach and ocean in both the dining and living rooms. The limestone floors have independently controlled radiant heat and vaulted ceilings throughout the home. Kitchen countertops are silestone and granite. The cabinets, built in our cabinet shop, are French sycamore and milled entirely from a single log imported from France.
Siding
This Stinson Beach home enjoys the views of Bolinas Lagoon while steps from the ocean with beach access. This home was designed by the well known San Francisco firm, Pfau Architecture and has been photographed for Sunset Magazine, Western Interior and Design and The San Francisco Chronicle Fall Home Design, among others. Built with an open plan design around a central courtyard with a fire pit, the home provides an “indooroutdoor” living experience. The exterior has applied vertical grain redwood siding with custom in-house (Woodworking West cabinet shop) constructed sliding barn doors insulated and weather stripped that open to the courtyard, and a Canadian standing seam zinc roof. The interior has heated patina concrete floors and concrete countertops in the kitchen and master bath with clerestory windows throughout allowing natural sun light to flood the interior. Privacy is complete with a custom revolving entry gate.
