Oklahoma Community Credit Union

I'm surprised to see a few very negative reviews on here. I've dealt with this bank (along with at least seven others in town) for business and personal reasons for many years and most always have excellent service. Loans, checking, savings, tellers, drive through, debit card, I honestly can't remember any bad experiences. They have excellent loan rates and low overdraft and other fees. Their customer service manager is doing a wonderful job (I can tell his voice on the phone after visiting with him several times in the lobby). He is very welcoming and shows that he is concerned about everyone getting what they need. I recommend this bank all the time to friends and clients for both personal and business accounts.

This bank is a wreck. I've been with them for years & during that time their system has gone down or "offline" more times than I can remember. I'm constantly not able to use my money when I need to.



On top of this, they impounded my car because their loan officer "forgot" to set up automatic payments withdraws. When I went to talk to the bank about getting my car back they pointed their fingers at me saying I didn't have the money in my account. I had them look at my account records and they quickly realized I had more than enough money to pay my car payment each month, I even had enough to make 3 month's payments that day. Which I had to do to get my car back. When I asked to speak with the loan officer they explained that he no longer worked there.



Since that day, I've been to the bank twice to get this removed from my credit (they know this was a major screw up on their end). Both times they said it will be removed and to this day it is still hurting my credit.

University Credit Union is always very helpful and the workers always have smiling faces. Everyone is always so nice to me when I come in. I have had a few problems with my accounts through out the years, but I have always been able to call and get them fixed pretty quick. The manager up front always returns my phone messages the same day and has helped me out alot. Even though there are fees for going negative and returned checks, they are so much lower than the other banks in town.

I am not one usually to complain, but I have had such horrible luck with this credit union I feel the need to inform others. Customer Service is HORRIBLE. They never admit when they have made a mistake. Thier system goes down all the time (I couldn't use my debit card until 11 am on the day after Thanksgiving). Once I made 3 trips in one week to OKC to purchase a digital camera and each time my debit card wouldn't work. Finally I ended up drawing the cash out of my account and paying with cash on the 3rd trip.



I have been with them for 5 years, only b/c it is such a hassle to change banks, but my last run in with one of thier CS managers was so bad that I changed. I would not recommend them to anyone.
