Peacock's Restaurant

I can not say enough about this Peacocks. It is a very relaxed, casual atmosphere that small town cafes have. There is a smoking room at the front, and a back room that is non-smoking. The waitresses are mostly all older women (40+) that have much experience. The food is wonderful, and if there is anything wrong they always fix it. One thing though, don't order poached eggs anymore. They now use these microwavable trays and can never seem to get it right, it always comes out hardboiled. The service is friendly, the prices are decent ($7.25 for about 8 steak fingers, gravy, texas toast, french fries or vegetable, and a salad), the portions are quite generous, it's 24 hours, and I would prefer this restaurant over any other in town. I never leave feeling unsatisfied like I do other places. Just stay away from the Peacocks on Lingleville Rd, I haven't had as good of an experience there, and won't ever go back.
