Overall

Initially, I had been under the impression that Positivity Hair Studio would result in a pleasant and positive experience hence the name. However, that assumption could not be further from the truth.

When I called Positivity to make an appointment, I had originally asked for a long-layered haircut. The haircut and blow out appointment was given an entire MONTH LATER. Nevertheless, I took it considering that their work would be worth the wait.

Prior to the appointment, I had called and asked if I would be able to add a color melt treatment as well. Instead, I was given the option of a toner. Since I declined the toner, a color appointment had been offered for the following week. I gladly took it not minding that it would require an additional trip.

An hour later, I received a call from their receptionist claiming that someone had cancelled and that a color treatment could be added. When I finally arrived, Stylist Jackie confronted me stating that she would be unavailable to complete a coloring. I added that I had recently called and a spot had become available.

"I can't do an ombre, I can only do a single process right now," she said unapologetically.

I asked her when she would next become available and the receptionist's response was in July. THREE MONTHS LATER.

Jackie's utilization of cosmetologist jargon clearly indicated that she did not care to make her customers feel at ease. As my hair was being washed, she asked if I would like to have a toner put in. When I declined under the basis that it might appear odd since my highlights were long grown out, she retorted: "It's JUST my opinion, you don't have to do it."

Lastly, she held up approximately one inch of my hair seeking my approval for a trim. "Yeah, that's fine," I replied. When she finished my blowout, my hair was THREE INCHES SHORTER.

"How many other appointments do you have for today?" another stylist asked her. "I just have TWO more haircuts," Jackie replied. Yet, she was unable to allot the time to add a color treatment.

Needless to say, Jackie is unprofessional, impolite, and indolent. Although I can not speak for the other Stylists employed, I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND JACKIE.
