I took my car to three different places for estimates after being rear-ended at a traffic light, and Lava was the only one that validated my concerns about the damage to my car and was honest about how poorly aftermarket and reconditioned bumpers fit on the newer Honda Civics. The other shops kept pushing aftermarket and reconditioned parts because that's all the insurance companies will pay for, but Johnny at Lava ordered me a brand new bumper and even called Honda to see if they would be willing to match the price of the reconditioned bumper. When they knocked off some money but weren't able to match the price exactly, Johnny told me not to worry about the difference. My car was fixed in a day and a half, and now you can't tell it was ever hit because they did such a great job matching the color. I highly recommend Lava due to their courtesy and professionalism. I doubt I would have received this level of service anywhere else in State College. I hope I don't have anymore accidents, but if I do, I won't hesitate to bring my car back to Lava.

Great place. Very honest and helpful. Son's car was damaged while a student at PSU. They handled everything...from arranging a good time to fix car with my son to dealing with the insurance company. Beautiful work...matched paint perfectly. Would recommend to anyone. 5 STARS!

Located just outside State College on the road to Pine Grove Mills (PA 26) West College Ave., this shop has taken care of my vehicles for many years. Just past Harner's Orchard, Lava's offers top rate work, honest and fair pricing and the attention to detail that one would expect from a family run business. To my knowledge they don't advertise much since their work speaks for itself. I have always been impressed with the quality of their work. They give you all the options on detail and let you decide. After check prices at other shops, I've always found their prices to be in the mid range while their work is definitely top notch.
