The Children's Center of the Stanford Community serves more than 150 children up to the age of 5. Located in Stanford, Calif., the center provides assistance in areas of development for infants and toddlers. It organizes a range of classroom activities that include cooking, science, arts and crafts, dance, movement and music. The Children's Center of the Stanford Community is accredited with the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The center is a part of Stanford University, which is one of the world's leading research and teaching institutions. The university offers a variety of interdisciplinary academic programs, including engineering, humanities, creative writing, neurosciences and astronomy. It additionally hosts various sports events, such as golf, tennis, soccer, swimming and wrestling.
